Publication number: 20040026320Abstract: This invention relates to a method and a device for purifying water by means of inverted osmosis, ultra or nanofiltration or the like. The device comprises a raw water inlet (10) which via a pressurizing pump (15) is connected to a filter housing (24) in order to achieve an increased pressure of the water in the filter housing. The filter housing comprises a filter inlet (23), an outlet conduit (27) for purified water and a reject outlet (29) which is connected to a first branched off conduit (20) connected to the filter inlet (23) in order to form a circulation circuit (19) for concentrated unpurified water. The circulation circuit comprises a circulation pump (21) and a second branched off conduit (31) connected to a sewage drain (32) or the like for tapping off unpurified water.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 19, 2003Publication date: February 12, 2004Inventors: Fredrik Dellby, Anders Haegermarck

Patent number: 6450785Abstract: A hermetic motor compressor unit for household and similar refrigeration appliances, comprising a sealed casing having a bottom that forms a sump for holding lubricating oil. Inside of the casing is a compressor and driving motor that share a common hollow crankshaft that rotates about a vertical axis. To ensure effective lubricating oil flow into the hollow crankshaft, a means for providing suction comprising a sleeve is rigidly fixed to the lower end portion of the crankshaft. A fluted member made of a material with a lower thermal conductivity than the material from which the hollow crankshaft is made that is connected to the stator of the drive motor is inserted into the sleeve to draw the lubricating oil from the sump. The lubricating oil is drawn in from the oil sump into recesses in the fluted member when the sleeve is rotated into the position in which it allows the recesses to communicate with lower apertures in the sleeve. This occurs during the downstroke of the fluted member.Type: GrantFiled: August 14, 2000Date of Patent: September 17, 2002Assignee: Zanussi Elettromeccanica S.p.A.Inventors: Fredrik Dellby, Carlo Zonta

Patent number: 5586680Abstract: A box constituting heat insulating walls of a refrigerator or freezer cabinet, wherein the walls are formed by an inner shell of metal, an outer shell of metal, and an evacuated heat insulation between the shells. The shells provide edges which surround a rectangular access opening to the box and which are folded towards each other so that they form planar surfaces located in substantially the same plane. The planar surfaces are gas-imperviously connected to each other by a thin metal strip having poor heat conductivity. The strip is soldered to the planar surfaces.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 1995Date of Patent: December 24, 1996Assignee: Aktiebolaget ElectroluxInventors: Fredrik Dellby, Per .ANG.ke Fonser

Patent number: 5509248Abstract: A boxlike body (10) with a rear wall (12) and four side walls (14) is brought into a fixture (34) with the free edges (22) of the side walls pointing downwards. The walls of the body are filled with insulating powder by blowing the powder into the rear wall (12) by gaseous medium of a first pressure. The powder is then packed by gaseous medium of a second pressure, which is higher than the first pressure, being let into the rear wall. During the filling and packing the media is let out via a filter element (24) arranged at the free edges (22) of the side walls. After the filling and packing the media is evacuated from the walls through the filter element (24). The body can then be used as a so-called vacuum insulation in a refrigerator or freezer.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 1994Date of Patent: April 23, 1996Assignee: Aktiebolaget ElectroluxInventors: Fredrik Dellby, Thomas Ohlsson

Patent number: 5401395Abstract: It is proposed, in accordance with the invention, that a pressurized water purifier which includes an inlet conduit, a pressure-elevating pump mounted in the inlet conduit, a filter or membrane type purifying unit, a purified-water outlet conduit and a reject conduit for concentrated contaminated water that the reject conduit (22) includes a pressure-limiting valve (28) which is controlled by the pressure in the outlet conduit (18). This will enable the water purifier to operate at a required, high internal working pressure, while enabling the pressure of the purified water to be maintained at a maximum level limited by the water conduit system and to be varied in response to the water taken from the system in the absence of pulsations.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 1993Date of Patent: March 28, 1995Assignee: AB ElectroluxInventors: Peter Hagqvist, Per Fonser, Fredrik Dellby

Patent number: 5364525Abstract: A device for purifying water comprises a filter unit (10) containing an osmotic membrane and provided with an inlet (11), a filtrate outlet (12), a return conduit (14) for a recirculating large flow of unfiltered water and having an outlet (22) for a small flow of reject water,According to the invention, two ion exchange units (17, 18) are arranged in parallel and connected to the filter unit (10) in such way that raw water entering the device is first passed through one of said ion exchange units to be softened, and that the reject water is passed in the opposite direction through the other ion exchange unit to regenerate the same. Valve means (19, 24) are provided for alternately shifting the ion exchange units between the functions of softening and regeneration.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 1992Date of Patent: November 15, 1994Assignee: Aktiebolaget ElectroluxInventors: Peter Hagqvist, Per Fonser, Fredrik Dellby

Patent number: 5320755Abstract: When applying a method and an arrangement for purifying water, an inflow of contaminated water is converted to a pressure elevated flow which is divided in a purifying unit into a purified outflow and a contaminated outflow, which in turn is divided into a return flow and a reject flow. With the intention of providing a large return flow under high pressure for the purpose of rinsing clean the filter unit during operation, the return flow includes a first return flow (return conduit 24) which is recycled to the pressure-elevated flow (pressure conduit 16) and which is larger than the inflow, and further includes a second return flow which is pressure-restricted with respect to the first return flow, and the second return flow is returned to the inflow.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 1993Date of Patent: June 14, 1994Assignee: AB ElectroluxInventors: Peter Hagqvist, Per Fonser, Fredrik Dellby

Patent number: 5284424Abstract: The invention relates to a pump arrangement, especially for the operation of an osmotic water purifier comprising a filter housing (10) having a raw water inlet (11), a filtrate outlet (15), a reject outlet (16), and a flush valve (18) adapted to be opened for flushing raw water through the filter housing. The pump arrangement comprises a high pressure pump (12) for supplying raw water at the required pressure, and a circulation pump (13) for recirculating a relatively large flow through the filter housing. The high pressure pump (12) consists of a sliding vane pump of the type in which the vanes (24) are caused to sealingly engage the surrounding wall of the pump chamber by a hycraulic pressure supplied from the pressure side of the high pressure pump.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 1992Date of Patent: February 8, 1994Assignee: Aktiebolaget ElectroluxInventors: Fredrik Dellby, Per A.
