  • Publication number: 20220179207
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an eye tracking device for tracking movements of an eye comprising, a viewing plane for displaying a projection of an image to the eye of a user, an image module placed on a same side of the viewing plane as the eye, at least one illuminator for illuminating the eye, a control unit adapted to receive an image captured by the image module, and calculate a viewing angle of the eye, a holographic optical element (HOE), wherein a HOE is placed between the eye and the viewing plane, wherein the image module is adapted to capture an image of the HOE, and wherein the HOE is adapted to direct at last a first portion of incident light reflected from the eye, in a first angle towards the image module, the first angle being different from an angle of the incidence of the incident light

  • Publication number: 20190219818
Abstract: A display system may include a display, a beam splitter, a mirror, and an eye tracking system. The beam splitter may receive display light from the display in a first direction and direct at least some of the display light towards the mirror. The mirror may reflect at least some of the display light from the beam splitter back towards the beam splitter, where the beam splitter may direct at least some of the reflected display light in a second direction. The eye tracking system may comprise a light source for providing tracking light for reflection at an eye. The beam splitter may receive reflected tracking light back from the second direction and direct at least some of that light towards the eye tracking system. The eye tracking system may comprise a camera for receiving at least some of the reflected tracking light directed by the beam splitter.

  • Publication number: 20170034455
Abstract: Devices and methods herein, in accordance with embodiments, provide a detector unit for an infrared (IR) imaging device comprising a focal plane array (FPA) of IR detectors configured to detect IR radiation intensity, and a detector unit lens configured to optically direct IR radiation onto the FPA and to protect the FPA from contamination. The detector unit lens and the FPA are integrated to form a detector unit that encapsulates the FPA, and the detector unit lens is configured to optically function as a common lens element for a plurality of different types of lens assemblies of the IR imaging device. Other embodiments herein provide for an IR imaging system, and for methods of manufacturing a detector unit.
