    Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for creating a representation of transferred torque (?tr) over a rotation angle interval (?) for a torque transferring system wherein the torque transferring system includes at least two meshing gears, a torque meter for monitoring the transferred torque (?tr) in the torque transferring device, and an angular meter arranged to monitor an angular position (?) of at least one of the meshing gears over at least one angular interval (?int). Further, the system includes a processor that is adapted to: map the transferred torque (?tr) to the monitored angular interval (?int) and create a representation of the transferred torque (?tr) over said angular interval (?int), analyze said representation in order to identify deviations from an expected representation, and based on said analysis determining a gear condition of at least one of the at least two meshing gears in the torque transferring device.
