  • Publication number: 20150058254
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic sign, a system and a method in the system that enables a customer to transmit a feedback related to a product, a product group, a product category, a brand, a store or information associated with the electronic sign. The system comprising displaying means in the electronic sign configured to present a code on the electronic sign, where the code is associated with the electronic sign. Reading means in a mobile terminal is configured to read the code and download user interaction content to the mobile terminal using the code. Feedback means in the mobile terminal is configured to receive a feedback from the customer and transmit the feedback to the server, the feedback being related to the user interaction content and the product, the product group, the product category, the brand, the store or the information.

  • Publication number: 20140214620
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and a method in a system that makes it possible for a service provider to provide product related information services to a mobile terminal in a store. The system comprises reading means in the mobile terminal configured to read a unique tag identity from an identity tag in an electronic shelf label, wherein the unique tag identity is different from a product id. Transmitting means in the mobile terminal is configured to transmit the unique tag identity from the mobile terminal to a tag identity server. Finding means in the tag identity server is configured to find in the tag identity server a meta data associated with the unique tag identity. In the tag identity server transmitting means is configured to transmit the meta data from the tag identity server to the mobile terminal. Displaying means in the mobile terminal configured to display the product related information services using the meta data.

  • Patent number: 7213751
Abstract: A method for creating synchronized transmission of messages in a wireless electronic shelf labeling system comprising at least two transmitters, a plurality of receiving label-units and a central processing unit capable of issuing messages to be transmitted via said transmitters. Wherein a first step involves determining, for each transmitter, the signal delay between issuing of a message at the central processing unit and transmission of the message from the transmitter. Wherein a second step involves actively delaying, in response to said determined signal delay, transmission from the individual transmitters such that synchronized transmission from all transmitters is achieved. The present invention further relates to a wireless electronic shelf labeling system and a transmitter for such a system.

  • Publication number: 20040037567
Abstract: The present invention relates to an optical transmitter unit (10) comprising a transmitter unit comprising at least one source (9) of infra-red light mounted to a base member (6), for transmitting messages by means of infra-red signals. The transmitter unit further comprises a reflector (3) unit mounted on the base member (6), wherein said reflector has a number (n) of reflecting surfaces (31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36) for transmission. It is designed to distribute the infra-red light from said at least one source in a predefined space having an arbitrary number of boundary surfaces in such a way that a substantially uniform signal power distribution is obtained on at one or more selected boundary surfaces of said predefined space.
