    Abstract: A system and method for designing and scheduling building construction is provided. The system includes a three dimensional design system that generates three dimensional design data using one or more elements in a spatial tree structure. One or more recipes are associated with each element, where each recipe has one or more associated method components and each method component has one or more associated resource components. A cost estimate system generates cost estimate data using the recipes, and a schedule system generates schedule data using the recipes.
