  • Publication number: 20230071802
Abstract: A ply fibrous product comprises at least one ply selected from a nonwoven ply and a tissue paper ply, wherein the at least one ply selected from a nonwoven ply and a tissue paper ply comprises cellulosic fibers comprising an organic polycarboxylic acid and wherein the organic polycarboxylic acid has at least one carboxyl group covalently bound to the cellulosic fibers and at least one free carboxyl group. Due to the presence of covalent chemical bonds between a carboxyl group of the polycarboxylic acid and hydroxy groups of the cellulosic fibers present in all substrates, the ply fibrous products display a long-lasting acidic pH even after having been rinsed with water. In some embodiments a long-lasting acidic pH may be achieved in the nonwovens treated with an organic polycarboxylic acid even after washing with a washing detergent.

  • Publication number: 20230051090
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an absorbent undergarment comprising a fabric layer defining a waist opening, two leg openings and a crotch region between the leg openings, the absorbent undergarment further comprising an absorbent pad covering at least part of said crotch region and being permanently attached to the fabric layer. The absorbent pad comprises at least one absorbent layer and a skin-facing layer. At least one layer, selected from said absorbent layer, said skin-facing layer or an optionally present wicking layer, comprises naturally-derived fibers comprising a polycarboxylic acid. The polycarboxylic acid has at least one carboxyl group covalently bound to the naturally-derived fibers and at least one free carboxyl group.

  • Patent number: 10159612
Abstract: Hygienic product comprising an odor control material having a longitudinal direction, a transverse direction and a thickness direction, the odor control material including a first carrier material wherein a plurality of odor control particles are bonded to at least one surface of the first carrier material by a binder substance wherein the first carrier material in an unexpanded condition has a plurality of transversal slits, and that the first carrier material in an expanded condition in the longitudinal direction has a plurality of openings, and that the first carrier material is fixed in the expanded condition in the hygienic product whereby the odor control material is in the form of a reticulated structure.

  • Patent number: 7456012
Abstract: The invention provides hollow-tip-electrodes for spatially localized delivery of substances to one or more biological targets present in a population comprising target and non-target molecules, macromolecules, and/or cells. The invention also provides electrode plates for receiving one or more of such tips, tip-electrode plates comprising electrode plates comprising one or more electrode tips, and systems comprising tip-electrodes and containers for containing one or more biological targets, e.g., such as molecules, macromolecules, and/or cells. The invention further provides methods for using such systems and components thereof. In one preferred aspect, the systems are used for spatially confined electroporation of cells and cell structures. The invention facilitates high throughput screening of agents (e.g., such as drugs) that act on intracellular targets.
