Abstract: This invention relates to a process for preparing free-flowing stabilizer and lubricant compositions for halogenated polymers comprising combining two or more lubricant and stabilizer components to form a mixture of powdered compounds, which mixture consists at least partly of organic compounds and lubricants and stabilizers solid at room temperature, and intensely fluid-mixing said mixture together with from about 0.2 to 5 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the mixture, of an organic lubricant for halogenated polymers that is liquid at room temperature, the process being carried out so that melting or softening of the powdered compounds does not occur. The organic lubricant liquid at room temperature is selected from the group consisting of the 2-ethylhexyl, isononyl, isodecyl, isotridecyl, and isooctadecyl esters of 2-ethylhexanoic, isononanoic, isodecanoic, isotridecanoic, or isooctadecanoic acid or of a fatty acid having from 16 to 18 carbon atoms or a mixture thereof, such as stearic acid.

Abstract: This invention is directed to a process for stabilizing polyvinyl chloride molding mixtures which comprises admixing(a) from about 0.2 to 5 parts by weight of a sodium aluminosilicate of small particle size;(b) from about 0.05 to 1.5 parts by weight of one or more calcium salts of fatty acids;(c) from about 0.05 to 0.5 parts by weight of one or more zinc salts of fatty acids;(d) from about 0.2 to 2.0 parts by weight of partial esters of polyols and fatty acids; and(e) from about 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of thioglycolic acid esters of polyols and/or thioglycolic acid esters of monofunctional alcohols per 100 parts by weight of polyvinyl chloride or copolymer of vinyl chloride.

Abstract: A stabilizer composition for molding compositions based on polyvinyl chloride and/or mixed polymers containing predominantly vinyl chloride comprising(a) a partial ester of pentaerythritol with a fatty acid,(b) calcium and/or zinc stearate, and/or the corresponding palmitate,(c) a waxy hydrocarbon and/or a fatty acid, and(d) an antioxidant.
