  • Patent number: 11289977
Abstract: The cooling device is intended for an electric motor and has a rotor cooling flange and a stator cooling flange (2), of which one is rotatable with respect to the other. At least one of the two cooling flanges (2) is provided with cooling ribs (8) arranged distributed over its circumference. During operation of the electric motor, at least one of the two cooling flanges gives off heat to the surrounding air. At least some of the cooling ribs (8) of a heat-emitting cooling flange (2) have an undulating profile over their length. In this context, the surface area of a cooling rib (8) having an undulating profile is larger than the surface area of the associated straight reference rib.

  • Patent number: 10816009
Abstract: The invention relates to a fan wheel having blades (11) which are distributed over the circumference and are connected to one another in the circumferential direction via at least one ring. The fan wheel consists of at least three integrally formed segments (I to VII). Said segments comprise at least one respective ring portion (1) of at least one ring as well as either a blade (II) or at least a portion of the blades. The segments (I to VII) are joined together to form the fan wheel. The ring portions (1) lie against each other with edges (4, 5) which form the joining areas (15, 16) that are disposed transversely with respect to the circumferential direction of the fan wheel. At least one edge (4) of the ring portion (1) of each segment (I to VII) is provided with at least one projecting form-fitting part (18), and at least one edge (4, 5) of the ring portion (1) of each segment (I to VII) is provided with at least one recess (17) which is at least approximately complementary to the form-fitting part (18).

  • Patent number: 10550854
Abstract: An impeller wheel for fans has a bottom disc, a cover disc, and three-dimensionally shaped blades connected to the bottom disc and the cover disc. The bottom disc, cover disc, and the blades form a one-piece part. The blades have a leading edge and a trailing edge, wherein the leading edge and the trailing edge each have a median diameter. In a projection onto a cylinder that is coaxial with a rotation axis of the impeller wheel and has a diameter matching a median diameter of the trailing edge or of the leading edge, a first extension of the trailing edge and/or the leading edge is positioned at a first angle and a second extension of the trailing edge and/or the leading edge is positioned at a second angle relative to a line parallel to the rotation axis. At least one of the first and second angles is different from 0°.

  • Patent number: 10197070
Abstract: The invention relates to a diffusor having a wall (8) that encloses an inlet having a round cross-section that transitions into an angular cross-section on the outlet of the diffusor over the height of the wall (8) of the diffusor. The transitions (15) between the sides (34 to 37) of the wall (8) have a twist in the height direction that follows the twirl of the flow of air through the diffusor. The ventilator has such a diffusor. The device has a housing on which at least two ventilators, each having one diffusor, are arranged.

  • Patent number: 9103352
Abstract: A ventilator for use in air-conditioning and refrigeration technology has a housing of plastic material in a one-part configuration having integrally formed therein an inlet nozzle, cylinder-shaped flow guiding means, outlet guide vanes, and a diffusor. A drive motor is arranged in the housing. An impeller wheel is rotatably supported about a central axis in the housing and driven by the drive motor. A protective screen is connected to the housing. A motor support is connected by the outlet guide vanes to the housing. The impeller wheel has vanes with radially outwardly positioned vane ends, wherein the vane ends are embodied as flow elements (winglets). The flow elements are spaced at a minimal spacing relative to a sidewall of the housing. The drive motor is an external rotor motor that is embodied either as an alternating current asynchronous motor (AC) or an electronically commutated direct current motor (EC).

  • Publication number: 20150023791
Abstract: The axial fan has a motor (1), on the rotor side of which an impeller is fixed, wherein fan blades (24) with a front and a rear edge (26, 27) project from the hub of said impeller. The motor (1) is fixed to a housing (3) by means of a suspension (2). The suspension has a bracing part (4 to 8) made of a flat material, said bracing part connecting the motor (1) to the housing (3) and being arranged in an approximately vertical manner in the flow direction of the air. The aim of the invention is to design the axial fan such that the axial fan has a high overall efficiency and only a low flow resistance. This is achieved in that the bracing part (4 to 8) is provided with at least one recess (7) over a part of the length of the bracing part. The flow resistance due to the bracing part is minimized by means of the recess. The recess reduces the weight of the axial fan.
