  • Patent number: 5797647
Abstract: A vehicle body comprises elements which are connected in a reinforcing manner with side rails of the body and consist of two struts which taper in a V-shaped manner toward the vehicle rear. These are connected with one another by at least one cross member. The free ends of the V-shaped struts are connected with a one-piece carrier plate which comprises two trapezoidal segments connected with one another by way of an integrated cross member. One trapezoidal segment has profiled lateral edges which extend as a lengthening of the V-shaped struts.

  • Patent number: 4604915
Abstract: A drive system for a rotary-, pivot- and propelling-drive of a vehicle especially for an excavating machine with a planetary gear transmission and a brake installation that includes a brake disk with brake surfaces which are arranged between brake lamellae. A support of the brake lamellae takes place by way of teeth for the planet wheels of the transmission which are already present on the inside of the housing (in a ring gear) whereby the hub of the brake disk is axially displaceably retained in already present teeth of the sun gear of the transmission.

  • Patent number: 4297759
Abstract: A transportable floating bridge includes a bridge unit, a buoyant pontoon for supporting the bridge unit, a device carried by the pontoon for lifting and pivoting the bridge unit, a coupler for swingingly linking the bridge unit to a like pontoon supported bridge unit, and a coupling for rigidly coupling the bridge units together, whereby the floating bridge is easily formed from a plurality of bridge units regardless of whether the bridge units are located end-to-end or side-by-side after off-loading from their transport vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4033006
Abstract: Supporting apparatus for a portable bridge including a longitudinally telescoping bridge support leg having an intermediate support member at the free end thereof. A pair of foot plate members are pivotally supported at the intermediate support member and are connected by way of a lever linkage so as to pivot together when moving from a storage position with the undersides of plate members extending longitudinally of the leg and in-use positions with the undersides of the plate members extending transversely of the leg. Elastic band members are attached to the upper sides of the foot plate members to continuously apply a force tending to move the plate members to the in-use position. Rollers are provided at the upper sides of the plate members for engagement with bridge members to forcibly move the plate members to the storage position when the support leg is moved into a storage position underneath the bridge plate portion.

  • Patent number: 4023226
Abstract: A bridge transporting and installing vehicle for a multi-part bridge structure which is provided with a front and rear bridge section placer arrangement. The rear placer arrangement is swingably mounted on the vehicle and includes a connecting device for permitting the accommodation of bridge sections of varying length.

  • Patent number: 4015303
Abstract: Supporting apparatus for supporting bridge portions on a portable bridge of the type including a plurality of bridge portions movable from storage positions to positions of use connected to one another in series. The supporting apparatus includes two support legs spaced from one another and swingably supported at respective free ends of a pair of pivotally connected carrier sections. The support legs are further connected with one another by a hydraulic-cylinder arrangement arranged in bypassing relationship to the carrier sections with the holding element designed to absorb relative movement of the support legs resulting from the pivotal connection of the carrier section. Swinging devices are also provided at the free ends of each of the carrier sections for applying forcible swinging movement to the support legs so as to fold same from storage to in-use positions. The pivot axis of the support legs extend at an angle of less than 90.degree. with respect to the longitudinal extent of the support legs.

  • Patent number: 3964119
Abstract: Support leg construction for tank portable bridges including a housing or support leg formed by respective inner and outer sleeve members. A longitudinally movable stanchion is guided intermediate the inner and outer sleeves. A hydraulically operable piston member is disposed in the inner sleeve and includes hydraulically operable detent spring ring locking means for selectively locking the piston to the stanchion. A further hydraulically operable spring-ring locking mechanism is fixedly disposed at the open end of the inner sleeve for selectively locking the stanchion in position with respect to the inner and outer sleeves.

  • Patent number: 3962747
Abstract: An anchoring arrangement for the ramp ends of a bridge structure wherein an anchoring plate is provided and secured to the ramp ends by at least one tensioning device. The anchoring plate is provided with a plurality of openings each of which includes a ridge or bulge portion projecting from the surface of the anchoring plate which faces the support surface for the ramp ends to form a claw-like structure for firmly gripping the support surface. A layer of material may be provided between the upper surface of the anchoring plate and a lower surface of the ramp end to increase the friction between the anchoring plate and ramp end.
