  • Patent number: 8013030
Abstract: A process for the production of a moulding composed of foamed polytetrafluoroethylene by means of an extruder, includes introducing a foaming agent, which brings about foaming, into the polytetrafluoro-ethylene, where the extruder used includes a commercially available extruder, to which a thermoplastically processable, fusible polytetrafluoroethylene is fed, the polytetrafluoroethylene is fed to the extruder together with a foaming agent which has chemical action and which has a decomposition temperature of at least 320° C., and after its discharge from the extruder, the moulding is drawn off in the direction of production without any further measures relating to the foaming procedure.

  • Publication number: 20100264342
Abstract: The invention relates to a valve cartridge for a solenoid valve, having a capsule, a magnetic armature that is movably guided within the capsule, a valve insert that is inserted into the capsule at a first end, and a valve body, which is pressed into a second end of the valve insert and has a main valve seat. The magnetic armature, moved by a generated magnetic force, moves a tappet guided within the valve insert. The tappet has a closing element with a sealing element which plunges into the main valve seat of the valve body in a sealing manner for carrying out a sealing function, and an associated solenoid valve. According to the invention the valve insert is configured as a one-part slotted bushing, and the valve body is configured as a bonnet-shaped bushing. The valve body configured as a bushing is pressed into a second end of the valve insert configured as a slotted bushing such that the main valve seat is disposed within the valve insert.

  • Publication number: 20100187453
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a high-pressure-tight connection between a pole core and a valve sleeve of a solenoid valve and to an associated valve cartridge for a solenoid valve. According to the invention, the pole core is placed in a two-part compression mold, which comprises a middle die and an outer die, in such a way that a joining gap is produced between an inner bore of the outer die and the placed-in pole core. Subsequently, the pole core is placed against the valve sleeve and the valve sleeve is inserted into the joining gap. Then, the middle die and the outer die are pressed simultaneously with the pole core such that the valve sleeve passes into the joining gap. When a pressed diameter of the pole core is reached, the valve sleeve expands and is shaped in the joining gap between a first shaping edge and a second shaping edge and is joined onto the pole core. The diameter of the inner bore tapers between the first shaping edge and the second shaping edge.

  • Publication number: 20090167188
Abstract: Future vehicle headlamps will provide light functions, such as, for example, town light, country road light, motorway light, full beam, poor weather light, etc. A method and a device is therefore provided with which the light functions of vehicle headlamps are controlled in a reliable manner. The device essentially comprises front headlamps with a dipped headlight and full beam, and at least one variable actuator with which different light functions can be realized. In order to select a light function, the variable actuator is set to a predetermined, fixed position. In this case, it is not possible to select a light function in the region between the dipped headlight and the full beam, there being no means of locking the actuator in the intermediate region between the position of the actuator for the dipped headlight and the position for full beam. Only a light function which is matched to the driving situation and can be selected in a reliable manner is therefore possible.

  • Patent number: 7337868
Abstract: The front structure of a motor vehicle has a brake device with a brake cylinder extending substantially in the direction of travel of the vehicle. To reduce the risk of injury for a vehicle driver in the event of a crash in the case of a front structure in which a wiping water container is arranged ahead of the brake cylinder with regard to the direction of travel, the wiping water container has a wall section on a rear wall which faces the brake cylinder. The wall section is configured in such a way that, in the event of a crash, the rear wall can be penetrated in this wall section by an end of the brake cylinder which faces the wiping water container.

  • Patent number: 7337695
Abstract: A casing has casing parts and fastening elements, wherein the casing parts are connected to one another by the fastening elements. The fastening elements are located inside the casing so that the exterior of the casing is free of projections and recesses. A first one of the casing parts has through openings into which the fastening elements are inserted, and a second one of the casing parts has threaded bores for receiving the fastening elements.

  • Patent number: 7329037
Abstract: A plasticating screw for an extruder or an extrusion press has a thread change, whereby the volume of the transporting cross-section does not change and thus a pressure increase in the region of the thread is avoided. To this end, in the region wherein a first and a second screw thread of the plasticating screw overlap, the thread width outside the overlapping region is equal to d and the thread width inside the overlapping region is equal to ½ d.

  • Patent number: 7267867
Abstract: An insulation material based on polymeric plastic is specified, to which glass particles that consist of types of glass with different softening points are added for stabilization in case of fire. To provide protection in a very broad temperature range, at least three types of glass with different softening points are used as the glass particles, namely, a first type of glass with a softening point below about 470° C., a second type of glass with a softening point above about 470° C. and below about 620° C., and a third type of glass with a softening point above about 760° C.

  • Patent number: 7044927
Abstract: An extracorporeal blood treatment system comprises an ECB station with an ECB unit, such as a dialysis machine. Via a web server and a browser, the ECB station communicates with a data net to which external browsers and external web servers are connected. Thus, settings and maintenance operations may be performed on the ECB unit from a remote location. On the other hand, patient-related, machine-related or drug-related data or statistical data or consumption-related data can be transmitted from the ECB station to a remote location. The communication between a user interface, e.g., a touch screen, and the ECB unit is done via the internal browser. Thus, the user interface has access to the data net. The ECB unit receives all data, information and instructions via the web server. Thereby, data of different sources can be processed in the same format and be given different authorizations.
