  • Patent number: 6213536
Abstract: A sealing device for at least one frameless window of a motor vehicle includes at least one sealing body with at least one embedded supporting rail, with elastomer profile strands being provided that are formed by areawise sheathing of the supporting rails and which cooperate with the inside and the outside of the window. To improve the sealing action of the sealing device and to make manufacture less expensive, provision is made such that the elastomer profile strands of each sealing body that cooperate with the inside of the window and with the outside of the window have separate supporting rails associated with them, in that both supporting rails are connected with one another at legs that are directed in the same direction and are mounted one on top of the other, and in that the areas of the elastomer profile strands that are in an operating relationship with the window overlap one another areawise in the transverse direction of the vehicle when the sealing bodies are mounted.

  • Patent number: 5300925
Abstract: A process and apparatus monitors vehicle crawler chains for malfunctions during the driving operation. In particular, the process and apparatus monitors unacceptable changes of the pitch of the crawler chain which impairs the driving operation. The actual running sound of a crawler chain is sensed and is compared with the median running sound. When the actual running sound exceeds the median running sound by more than a given percentage and this excess occurs in the case of at least one chain link with a frequency that is higher than a given frequency, a warning signal is emitted to the driver.

  • Patent number: 5209706
Abstract: A rubber belt crawler chain for a vehicle is equipped with chain guiding members which are slidingly guided in one another, are each connected with a cross-piece, and accommodate between one another steel cables of a rubber bearing body surrounding the cross-piece. The cross-piece has two clamping elements forming a receiving device for the steel cables between one another, in which groove-shaped guides for the cables are arranged in one clamping element, and are covered in a web-shaped manner by the other clamping element.
