  • Publication number: 20180110012
Abstract: The present invention is a tracking device for use in an LPWAN network, a system for using the tracking device, and a method of using the tracking device. The invention has the advantages of having a small form factor, low power consumption requirements, and long data transmission capabilities. In an embodiment, we describe a tracking device wherein the majority of the electronics are printed on a single substrate. In one variant of this embodiment, only a sensor could be located off-substrate. Embodiments disclosed herein provide a low-cost, versatile tracking device that can provide accurate analytics about a movable article to individuals or machines seeking information related to at least one of a panoply of metrics that could be reported about the moveable article.
