    Abstract: A coal winning machine with a mechanical tool has a tool body provided with one or more projecting flanges helically surrounding the axis of rotation of the tool body. Cutting tools are provided, each having a linear cutting edge, and these are removably mounted on the flange or flanges in such a manner that they can assume at least two alternative positions in each of which the cutting edge of the respective tool defines a different cutting angle.
