  • Patent number: 4928661
Abstract: A cocking device for a compressed air weapon employing pre-compressed air, wherein a cocking member acts on a compression piston via an articulated linkage, wherewith the articulated linkage is in the form of a six-point articulated linkage configured such that the cocking member is swingably mounted to the firing system via the first articulation point, and has a link member swingably connected to it at a second articulation point borne on said cocking member, wherewith the other end of the link member engages one end of a rod (which is a piston rod or piston plunger) which rod bears a fourth articulation point via which it engages a toggle arm the other end of which toggle arm is connected to the said firing system via a fifth articulation point, and wherewith the sixth articulation point is provided either on the other end of the piston-rod or piston-plunger rod or on the bottom of the cylinder of the pressure-producing piston-and-cylinder device.

  • Patent number: 4369759
Abstract: In a sporting air gun in the nature of a recoilless pressurized-air weapon, having a recoilable system which is translatably mounted so as to slide forward and backward on the gunstock of the weapon in a direction which is generally longitudinal. The recoil system compensates by opposed motion the impulse from the firing of the weapon arising from the impulse of each projectile, from the propellant gas, and from individual components which are accelerated for the purpose of the firing. The system minimally comprises a breech casing to which a barrel, a firing mechanism, other functional parts of the weapon, or added masses may be attached to increase the weight of the system. The system has a center of mass lying off the line of action of the impulse resulting from the firing, whereby a torsional impulse is superposed on the firing-resultant impulse. The improvement in the air gun includes at least one torsional impulse generator which is positioned in or on the weapon.

  • Patent number: 4275521
Abstract: An electro-mechanical triggering mechanism for fire arms which comprises a signal receiver used as an input unit which converts a shot-triggering signal generated by the user pulling the trigger into an electrical signal and an electro-mechanical converter which forms an output unit, which unit receives the electrical signal from the input unit and acts on a shot-triggering element to initiate the shot. The improvement consists in that the electro-mechanical converter is an electrically or electro-magnetically deformable piezo-active element which is mechanically connected to the shot-triggering element to initiate the shot. The piezo-active element can be a cantilevered bending bar; a hollow body filled with piezo-active liquid which is capable of moving a piston or elastic membrane; or a bending bar having a series of longitudinally extending bores having electrically conductive walls throughout its middle.
