    Abstract: The invention relates to a composite printing blanket formed by a multi-ply printing blanket and at least one multi-ply supporting blanket each being immovably laminated to each other but being relatively slidable or shiftable at an interface therebetween whereby high quality printing is maintained and replacement costs are minimized due to the necessity of disgarding only the multi-ply printing blanket when replacement is dictated.
