  • Patent number: 8155798
Abstract: A device and method for determining a roll angle of a motorcycle are disclosed. The method includes the step of acquiring a rolling rate ({dot over (?)}M) of the motorcycle. A first roll angle variable (?1) is determined from the rolling rate ({dot over (?)}M). At least one vehicle movement dynamics characteristic variable is determined from a velocity (v), a rotational speed ({dot over (?)}M), and/or an acceleration ({umlaut over (z)}M, ÿM) of the motorcycle. A second roll angle variable (?2) is determined from one or more vehicle movement dynamics characteristic variables. The roll angle (?E) is calculated on the basis of the roll angle variables (?1, ?2).

  • Patent number: 7572998
Abstract: A microhollow cathode discharge assembly capable of generating a low temperature, atmospheric pressure plasma micro jet is disclosed. The microhollow assembly has at two electrodes: an anode and a cathode separated by a dielectric. A microhollow gas passage is disposed through the three layers, preferably in a taper such that the area at the anode is larger than the area at the cathode. When a potential is placed across the electrodes and a gas is directed through the gas passage into the anode and out the cathode, along the tapered direction, then a low temperature micro plasma jet can be created at atmospheric pressure.

  • Patent number: 4738512
Abstract: The clearance-free fit for cylindrical mountings, in particular photographic lenses, is produced by recesses in the inner wall of a main mounting and projections in the outer wall of an individual mounting, to be fastened in the main mounting by inserting and by a relative rotary movement between the two mountings. The recesses and the projections are of such a configuration that a sufficiently large clearance s is present when the individual mounting is inserted, and this clearance is removed by turning to produce a frictional connection.
