    Abstract: A process for the production of bilaterally corrugated plastic sheets by extruding a plastic synthetic resin composition, preferably soft PVC, from a slotted nozzle fashioned in a double comb-like shape, stretching the sheet in the longitudinal direction of the ribs during the drawing-off process and passing the sheet through a cooled glazing or smoothing calender. Also disclosed are various sheets produced by the above-process as well as methods for joining the same together.

  • Process and apparatus for testing the tightness of seam joints of synthetic resin sheets by means of vacuum

    Abstract: An apparatus for testing the strength and/or the leakproofness of seams or joints formed between synthetic resin sheets comprising a semicylindrical shell of transparent material having rounded closed-in portions and forming with its peripheral edges, sealing strip means surrounding said opening a continuous frame for engaging said strip means and a flexible closure means operatively associated with said frame for sealing off the opening whereby a test chamber is formed and pump means connected to said chamber for applying a vacuum thereto.
