  • Patent number: 5878905
Abstract: Switchgear, such as gas-insulated, metal-encapsulated high-voltage switchgear, is accommodated in a container. The container has a side wall formed with an opening. An outwardly opening flap closes the opening in the normal situation. Upon a sudden pressure increase in the container, caused for instance by arcing, the flap is automatically opened and the container is vented. A linkage with a damper is connected to the flap for damping a motion of the flap into the open position.

  • Patent number: 4814422
Abstract: In the proposed pulverulent aminoplast adhesive resin for wood-base materials having a low formaldehyde emission, the resin is a mixture of(a) from 40 to 90 parts by weight of a urea/formaldehyde resin having a molar ratio of urea to formaldehyde of from 1:1.4 to 1:2,(b) from 2 to 20 parts by weight of melamine, some or all of which may have been reacted with the urea/formaldehyde resin component,(c) from 2 to 20 parts by weight of urea and(d) if required, from 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of an agent for increasing the shelf life, together with not more than 10 parts by weight of water and, if required, not more than 10 parts by weight of other additives, the numbers of parts by weight of the components summing to 100.In the process for the preparation of the pulverulent aminoplast adhesive resin, powdered melamine is stirred into a solution of the urea/formaldehyde resin, urea is added and the solution is spray dried.

  • Patent number: 4766325
Abstract: A method for testing for faultily plated-through bores in printed circuit boards by means of a light transmitter on one side of the respective bore and a receiver at the other side which receives light which penetrates through voids of the plated-through bore. An annular opening is formed around the bore to be evaluated, being applied after the plating-through and the depth thereof being slightly less than the thickness of the printed circuit board. The annular opening is illuminated. The light penetrating through the bore then indicates voids at which a faulty plating-through was carried out.

  • Patent number: 4684690
Abstract: In a proposed aminoplast adhesive resin powder for wood-based materials, which eliminates little formaldehyde, the resin is a mixture of(a) from 40 to 75 parts by weight of a urea/formaldehyde resin having a molar ratio of urea to formaldehyde of from 1:1.4 to 1:2,(b) from 10 to 20 parts by weight of a melamine/formaldehyde resin having a molar ratio of melamine to formaldehyde of from 1:1.3 to 1:3,(c) from 15 to 25 parts by weight of milled urea and(d) from 0.3 to 5 parts by weight of a flow improver, as well as up to 10 parts by weight of water and, if required, up to 10 parts by weight of other additives, the number of parts by weight of the components summing to 100.

  • Patent number: 4666948
Abstract: Resilient foams based on melamine resins are prepared by foaming an aqueous solution which contains a melamine/formaldehyde precondensate, an emulsifier, a volatile blowing agent and a curing agent and then curing the foam. In this process, from 0.2 to 4% by weight of an alkali metal, alkaline earth metal or aluminum salt of an organic, preferably polybasic acid, of a polyphosphoric acid or of a boron acid are added to the aqueous solution.

  • Patent number: 4159728
Abstract: A hot water bag made of a soft, flexible, rubber-like synthetic material and defining two side walls of a substantially rectangular shape and having a filling neck at a shorter side thereof, comprising a soft flexible coat seam-welded to at least one of said side walls. The hot water bag is manufactured by injection die molding process in assembled outer molds including a core; the bag body with embedded filling neck is first manufactured with a side slit for removing the die core then the pliant coat is seam welded to one side and finally the slit between the side walls is closed by welding.
