  • Patent number: 4455560
Abstract: In an ink jet printing head which comprises several nozzles (18), each of which having associated with it an essentially oppositely situated pressure chamber (2), there are provided at least two supporting sections (1,7) which are linked in a stack-like manner opposite the nozzles and on which the pressure chambers are distributed in a staggered manner. The jet nozzle ducts (6) which emerge from the pressure chambers on the supporting section (7) remote from the nozzles and which lead to the nozzles are guided between the pressure chambers on the supporting section (1) which is nearer with respect to the nozzles (FIG. 6).

  • Patent number: 4422082
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a jet nozzle plate utilizes a base plate in which a bore having a diameter which is larger than the inner diameter of the ultimate jet nozzle is provided in order to form a jet nozzle, after which on the front thereof a recess is milled which concentrically surrounds the bore at a distance. Subsequently, the base plate is covered as a unit, as far as into the bore, with a layer of a chemically depositable material, whose thickness defines the inner diameter of the bore to the inner diameter of the ultimate jet nozzle. Subsequently, the front of the plate is ground down as far as the layer in the recess and is etched, the material of the base plate exposed by grinding then being removed until the layer projecting from the bore forms a freely projecting cylindrical tube which is surrounded by a trough.

  • Patent number: 4413732
Abstract: The combination of a cassette such as a magnetic tape cassette, and a detachable U-shaped bracket having two limbs which engage the two side walls of the cassette. In a first position of interconnection, the bracket crosspiece is remote from the cassette front wall, and the bracket functions as an adapter permitting use of this cassette in an apparatus intended for a larger cassette. When interconnected in the other relative position, the bracket crosspiece closes the front wall of the cassette housing to cover over the tape access opening.

  • Patent number: 4125844
Abstract: A cassette tape recorder including a device for making index marks on a strip denoting the position of magnetic tape relative to a magnetic head, the marking strip being on a cassette exterior surface and having magnetically alignable particles by which visible, magnetically erasable marks can be made. The marking device includes a controllable magnet for selectively magnetizing an element made of a soft magnetic material which conducts flux to the strip. In a magnetic tape cassette adapted for such apparatus a strip with magnetically alignable particles is arranged on at least one major flat wall of the cassette, so as to be readily visible.

  • Patent number: 4075669
Abstract: An indexing device for a recording and/or playback apparatus for tape recording cassettes arranged in a magazine, for selective recording or playback of portions of a selected cassette. The cassette magazine has at least one compartment for insertion of an index strip section, the section being exposed through a window in a peripheral surface of the magazine. The magazine is so arranged that the strip mark device has the same start position for any selected cassette.

  • Patent number: 4071716
Abstract: A dictation system with several remote stations and at least one central station. Each remote station includes a recording and playback machine for recording dictation at normal record carrier transport speed, and upon completion of the dictation said dictation can be transmitted to and recorded on the machine of the central station in continuous form at a higher speed of transport, actuation of the switching means for transmission being cancelled by changing the record carrier in the remote station machine.

  • Patent number: 4022322
Abstract: A container with a receptacle for a record carrier such as a tape cassette is provided with at least one clamping device which is disposed on a wall of the container, by means of which device a graphic carrier, such as a letter, an index strip, a note etc. can be clamped in position in the container. The clamping device comprises a lug which projects into the receptacle for actuation of the device.

  • Patent number: 4018398
Abstract: A winding hub assembly for a record carrier in the form of a tape. One end of the tape can be inserted into and clamped in a circumferential recess in the winding hub with the aid of a clamping member, the hub having a further recess for a further clamping member adjacent to said first recess, the portion of the winding hub between the two recesses being elastically movable. The end of the record carrier is effectively clamped in position in the first recess through the action of the further clamping member in the further recess biasing the intervening hub portion.
