  • Patent number: 5239968
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrically controlled injection system for internal combustion engines, in which a magnet valve that is open when without current is used to control the fuel quantity of a high-pressure chamber in the injection pump. A pressure chamber communicates via a pressure conduit directly with the pump work chamber of the high-pressure pump, and a connection from the pressure chamber to a diversion chamber is controlled by a movable valve member via a valve seat. A diversion bore, and a pressure equalization piston is disposed on the valve member, via a neck, on a side remote from the magnet, so that approximately the same pressure as on the magnet side of the movable valve member prevails on the face end of this pressure equalization piston. The chambers on both face ends of the valve member communicate with one another through a connecting conduit, and a further connecting conduit leads from the magnet chamber to a leakage chamber.

  • Patent number: 4653455
Abstract: The injection pump has a pump piston driven with a constant stroke which pumps fuel at injection pressure to an injection nozzle so long as an electrically actuated overflow valve blocks the flow of the fuel overflowing via an overflow conduit to a low-pressure chamber. The overflow valve is a needle valve, the valve needle of which, opening inward toward a pressure chamber that can be placed under injection pressure, by means of a conical closing surface radially defining a needle tip controls a valve seat that widens conically toward the pressure chamber. The cone angle of the closing surface is larger than the cone angle of the associated valve seat and the closing surface forms a sealing edge, the diameter of which is equal to or only slightly smaller than the guide diameter of the guide shank on the valve member.

  • Patent number: 4316721
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a thrust in manoeuvering engines for watercraft and a manoeuvering engine constructed for the same, whereby the method comprises the annular driving water jet supplied to the diffuser and enveloping a first suction water jet is fed to a second suction water jet supplied to the diffuser inner wall surface, while the manoeuvering engine is constructed in such a way that the rear part of the engine casing is provided with an inlet port having a smaller diameter than the outlet port and located in the vicinity of the outlet port of the front engine part, whereby for the optimum adaptation of the exit mixing jet velocity to the vehicle speed a water jet exit cross-section regulating device is provided.

  • Patent number: 4176562
Abstract: An anti-skid protective cap for actuating pedals, such as brake pedals and the like, of a motor vehicle with a single downwardly projecting deflecting surface constructed so as to provide good sliding characteristics. This deflecting surface accomodates the sliding of the operator's shoe sole edge therealong during a pedal change. The deflecting surface is provided on the side of the protective cap facing a gas pedal, whereby the operator's shoe is prevented from getting stuck under the actuating pedal. The shoe-engaging portion of the cap may be artificially aged by applying a coating of an aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite, or it may be provided with a coating of an elastic lacquer.
