  • Patent number: 6789566
Abstract: In order to safely close a shut-off device (2) used in a gas supply line (1) in the case of danger, the closing part of said shut-off device is coupled with a pneumatic working cylinder (4) whose actuating piston (3) is maintained in the respective open position of the shut-off device (2) by the accessory pressure of CO2 liquid gas cartridge (5) and against the force of a lock spring (6). Under emergency conditions, a ventilating valve (8) which relieves the pressure form the actuating piston (3) is electronically triggered by a gas sensor (10) positioned in a sensor zone by the inactivation of a securing magnet and the shut-off device (2) is safety closed.

  • Patent number: 6719595
Abstract: According to the invention, an at least partially insulated strand of a battery terminal connection cable is either welded to a contact piece using ultrasound or is welded with a contact piece. As a result, the contact piece can be fastened onto the battery terminal using a conventional screw without worrying about the screw becoming loose. The battery terminal connection cable can be produced in an easy and at least partially automated manner using a device which comprises a sonotrode, a strand feed device, a contact piece feed device, and a pressure cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4111470
Abstract: The present coupling is intended to connect a tubular member to a further member such as a coupling sleeve or the like. The further member has an aperture for insertion of the tubular member and a hole extending substantially tangentially relative to the aperture and in partial overlap with the aperture. A locking pin with a flattened side region is inserted into the hole and then rotated to interlock the tubular member and the further member by deforming the tubular member. The locking pin may, for example, be a hollow sleeve with a longitudinal slot in the wall of the sleeve to provide said flattened region. The edges adjacent to the slot in the sleeve may be bent inwardly to facilitate the rotation of the sleeve type locking pin.
