  • Patent number: 7104882
Abstract: A sieve for a thresher, especially a combine-harvester, for the separation of grain-like field fruits from stalk-like and chaff-like components has channels (2, 2a, 2b) extending parallel to a longitudinal axis (1). The channels (2, 2a, 2b) are open to a first side A, from which they are loaded. The channels (2, 2a, 2b) are delimited by a bottom 3 and laterally following flanks (4, 5) which include openings (9). Air guide following channels (10, 11) are open to a second side B, which face away from the first side A. The two air guide channels (10, 11) are arranged in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis (1) and are separated by a continuous separation wall (13). The separation wall (13) extends between two neighbouring channels (2, 2a) which extend parallel to the longitudinal axis (1). In these separated air guide channels (10, 11), respectively, the openings (9) of only one of the two channels (2, 2a) separated by the air guide channels (10, 11) are open.

  • Patent number: 7067043
Abstract: A coke oven has a coke-oven chamber adapted to hold a mass of coke, defining above the mass of coke a gas-collecting chamber, and having a door opening. A door closes the door opening. A peripheral gas channel extends around the opening between the door and coke-oven chamber and has at least one outer and at least one inner door seal defining an annular space. The inner door seal is formed in both the coke-oven chamber and the gas-collecting chamber with a plurality of throughgoing holes forming fluid-communicating connections between the coke-oven chamber, the gas-collecting chamber, and the annular space at different heights of the coke-oven chamber and of the gas-collecting chamber. Thus regions of the coke-oven chamber with different gas pressures communicate with each other and with the annular space via the connections on the inner door seal to equalize pressure between the regions and the gas-collecting chamber.

  • Publication number: 20050268788
Abstract: A honeycomb body, in particular for aftertreatment of exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine, includes an inlet surface, an outlet surface and a honeycomb structure through which a fluid can flow. The honeycomb structure is disposed between the inlet surface and the outlet surface. The honeycomb structure has a storage device for storing at least one component of the fluid. A measurement sensor measures a concentration of the component in the fluid. The measurement sensor is disposed in the honeycomb structure at a given minimum distance from the outlet surface. A method for treating a fluid with the honeycomb body is also provided. The honeycomb body and method advantageously enable components of the fluid, e.g. nitrogen oxides (NOx), to be stored and reliably prevent the component which is to be stored from breaking through.
