    Abstract: The invention relates to a repeater system for forwarding radio signals. The repeater system comprises a donor unit for converting the frequencies of the radio signals from the transmission frequency to an intermediate frequency; a server unit for converting the converted radio signals from the intermediate frequency to the transmission frequency; and a cable, which connects the donor unit and the service unit and transmits the converted radio signals over a distance between the donor unit and the service unit at the intermediate frequency. The donor unit has an uplink donor antenna and a separate downlink donor antenna and/or the service unit has an uplink service antenna and, at the same time, a separate downlink service antenna.
