    Abstract: A toothbrush wherein the front end face of the handle has a flat projection which is receivable in a complementary socket in the adjacent end face of the detachable bristle carrier and the projection is integral with an arrowhead-shaped male detent which is detachably snapped into a recess extending from the socket into that surface of the carrier from which the bristles extend.
