  • Patent number: 4707921
Abstract: An extension handle facilitating use of a handheld electrically driven grass shear from an upright standing position that removably attaches to the hand grippable portion of the grass shear by depending pairs of opposed, resilient, inwardly biased clamps. A flexible strip extends through the extension handle for remote control of the grass shear on/off controls from the hand gripped section of the extension handle. The flexible strip includes a depending cam for laterally moving an on/off slide lock switch. Inwardly directed guide posts within the extension handle direct movement of the flexible strip substantially in the direction necessary to actuate the controls on the grass shear.

  • Patent number: 4580994
Abstract: A toy vehicle with a two-part, telescoping, chassis is driven by a battery powered motor. The child manipulates a control lever to energize the motor and produce engine revving sounds and then engage the rear wheels to start the vehicle doing a wheelie. One part of the chassis carries the front axle and wheels along with the motor and batteries plus an elongated resonating tube with a bellows and striking rib at one end adjacent the motor and an angular, open, sound producing end. Beaters driven by the motor strike the rib to produce the engine revving sound. Rear wheels mounted on an axle carried by the other part of the chassis are drivingly engaged with the motor when the two parts are telescoped together. The shift control lever is mounted for pivotal movement into an initial electrical circuit completing contact to energize the motor and later mechanical shifting to telescope the rear axle carrying part towards the motor to engage the motor and rear axle.

  • Patent number: 4209940
Abstract: A novel toy apparatus includes a base having a pair of spaced apart, opposite, upstanding, hollow bodies open at the upper end for containing a projectile. An ejector tongue is provided in each body for propelling the projectile out of the open top of one body toward the open top of the opposite body. A manually rotated operator is provded for sequentially activating the ejector tongue in the respective bodies so that the projectile is propelled back and forth during play.

  • Patent number: 3990704
Abstract: A target game of the type wherein a target image is movingly projected upon a screen for simulated shooting by a gun assembly. The target game generally includes a target projecting assembly for randomly exhibiting a moving target onto the screen and for giving an indication of a successful hit. A gun assembly is movably mounted over the target projecting assembly for selectively exhibiting a hit area on the screen and for causing the target projecting assembly to indicate a hit, along with a drive assembly. The target projecting assembly includes a first projector having a film holder which is movable between a "normal" position wherein a target image is presented for projection and a "hit" position wherein an explosion image is presented for projection. The target projecting assembly also includes a hit actuating member associated with the film holder to move the holder from its normal position to its hit position.
