  • Publication number: 20240149112
Abstract: The training device (9), which is provided for training body parts of a user, in particular the hip muscles, gluteal muscles or pelvic muscles or the arm muscles, comprises a compressive-force receiver (1), which is deformable under the impact of muscular force and which comprises a pressure chamber (10) in which a gel-like, liquid or gaseous medium is provided, a base (2) which, on the one hand, is supportable on a supporting surface and, on the other hand, serves for holding the compressive-force receiver (1), and at least one sensor (51), such as a pressure sensor or a force sensor, with which the medium is in contact and with which the pressure of the medium in the pressure chamber (10) is measurable.

  • Patent number: 7293412
Abstract: The internal pressure p1 of the hollow body of a pneumatic structural element that comprises a hollow body (1), at least two traction elements (4) and at least one compression member (2) can be electrothermally varied by means of a fluid. The hollow body (1) houses a void (12) which is filled with a gas (15), and a container (9) which contains a volatile liquid (10). Said liquid (10) can be heated or cooled by means of a heat pump (13). Said heat pump (13) thermally contacts the liquid (10) via lamellas (24). A pressure sensor (14) measures the pressure inside the void (12). A cable (16) links the sensor (14) and the heat pump (13) with control and regulating electronics (23).

  • Publication number: 20070256245
Abstract: A pneumatic structure for sitting, lying and reclining cushions including a plurality of cells disposed together in rows and frictionally interconnected at a plurality of sides along a transversal web thereby forming a layer, the layer being charged with compressed gas through at least one valve and made from a membrane of flexible, gas-tight material. The structure displays a plurality of frictionally interconnected layers, the layers being interconnected such that a longitudinal web separating the layers is present. A casing made from flexible, elastic material is present and envelops the plurality of layers. The casing is frictionally connected partly or across a full length of a contact line to at least one cell.

  • Publication number: 20070256243
Abstract: A pneumatic cushion having an inner pneumatic structure constructed from a casing and webs or a plurality of tubes. The webs produce a plurality of chambers. The inner pneumatic structure may be pressurised at a pressure p1. At least one reinforcing and stiffening means is present on or in the pneumatic structure and disposed in such a manner that the pneumatic cushion's dimensional stability is increased.

  • Publication number: 20070051024
Abstract: The invention relates to a pneumatic advertising medium which comprises at least one pneumatic structural element (1). This structural element is vertically erect in the form of a column and the entire peripheral surface can be used as an advertising medium in the manner of an advertising pillar. At least three compression elements (3) distributed across the hollow body comprise at least one respective pair of traction elements (4) that are wound around the hollow body in the opposite direction and provide the column's flexural strength relative to the wind forces attacking the column from all directions. The compression elements (3) can for example be configured as dismountable elements, thereby simplifying their transport. They are either linked with a base plate (5) which in turn is linked with the support in a nonpositive fit or the column is secured by means of bracing wires that are anchored in the ground and fixed to the compression elements (3).

  • Patent number: 5056050
Abstract: In a process according to the invention for automatic calibration and/or linearization of a high-resolution electronic balance, point values are assigned by a function to the disturbance variables (parameters) that can affect the weighing result. A calibration and/or linearization is indicated or triggered when the accumulated point values reach a triggering point value (Xa) that is presettable, balance-specific and/or dependent on the environment. The calibration and/or linearization can also be triggered when the accumulated point value of a single disturbance variable reaches a triggering point value which is below point number (Xa).
