  • Patent number: 8944194
Abstract: The invention relates to a drive system (10) for an agricultural or industrial vehicle, preferably a tractor (12). Said drive system (19) comprises at least one electric generator (24, 26) as well as a first and a second electric machine (28, 30). The at least one electric generator (24, 26) can be driven using torque generated by a vehicle engine (22). At least one of the two electric machines (28, 30) can be driven using the electric power generated by the electric generator (24, 26). The mechanical torque generated by the first and/or the second electric machine (28, 30) can be transmitted to at least one driving axle (14, 16) of the vehicle in order to allow the vehicle to move. • Patent number: 7287612
Abstract: A drive system for vehicles, especially for commercial vehicles such as agricultural or industrial tractors, the vehicle having at least one first wheel that is driven by an associated axle or single-wheel drive motor and at least one second wheel, in the drive train of which a gearbox that can be shifted between at least two speed transmission steps is arranged. To avoid vehicle speed drops while shifting the change-speed gearbox and to avoid interfering shifting jolts, it is suggested to provide a device for the detection of a shift command and a control unit, which in the presence of a shift command automatically applies a greater load at least on the drive motor driving the first wheel, controls the shifting operation of the change-speed gearbox of the second wheel and then lowers the load of the drive motor driving the first wheel.

  • Publication number: 20070144171
Abstract: The invention relates to a tyre pressure regulating system for regulating the pressure of tyres (16) mounted on a vehicle. Said tyre pressure regulating system (10) comprises a compressed air source. The vehicle comprises an internal combustion engine (20) provided with a turbocharger (22) as a compressed air source for the tyre pressure regulating system (10). In order to obtain a sufficiently high tyre pressure and to be able to fill the tyres (16) in a relatively rapid manner, the turbocharger (22) has a variable geometry.

  • Patent number: 6145859
Abstract: A hydro-pneumatic axle spring suspension system for the driven axle of an agricultural utility vehicle, in particular for the front axle of an agricultural tractor, is described, which contains at least one hydraulic cylinder arranged between the vehicle chassis and axle body. The rod end chamber and the piston end chamber of the hydraulic cylinder are each connected with at least one accumulator. Furthermore a valve circuit supplied by a hydraulic pump is provided for the control of the level, which controls the pressure of the accumulators as a function of the load on the axle body.To improve the operating and spring characteristics of the utility vehicle it is proposed that the mechanical and hydraulic components be designed for a spring suspension under maximum load of the axle body.

  • Patent number: 5271632
Abstract: A wheel suspension for a vehicle, in particular for utility and agricultural vehicles, has a hydro-pneumatic spring system arranged between a vehicle body and a wheel support that includes at least one hydraulic cylinder, a hydraulic accumulator arrangement and an intervening valve arrangement. The hydro-pneumatic spring system contains at least two hydraulic accumulators. The hydraulic accumulators can be connected individually or in groups of more than one with the one or more hydraulic cylinders selectively by means of the valve arrangement. Preferably at least two of the hydraulic accumulators are provided with differing pre-loads. In addition load-sensitive damping, a blocking valve and a level control valve that can be controlled by a level control linkage with switches are provided.

  • Patent number: 4875889
Abstract: An agricultural combine has a generally horizontal grain pan for delivering threshed crop material to a grain cleaning mechanism. The grain pan includes a plurality of generally upright fore-and-aft extending vanes that are adjustable to deflect crop material toward either lateral side of the grain pan to compensate for the gravity influenced migration of grain toward the downhill side of the combine when operating on a side slope. The vanes are automatically controlled by an electrical system that includes sensors at opposite sides of the grain pan that detect the building of crop material on the downhill side of the combine and adjusts the vanes to compensate for the buildup.

  • Patent number: 4258726
Abstract: In an axial flow rotary separator for a combine harvester, a series of parallel guide vanes are mounted inside the upper portion of the separator housing. The guide vanes are each helically disposed and parallel to each other and they cooperate with the separator rotor so that as the rotor is rotated crop material which has been fed to an upstream end of the separator is propelled downstream as a mat in the annular space between rotor and housing, the guide vanes engaging the mat of material and deflecting it downstream as it is propelled circumferentially by the rotor so that any given portion of the mat is propelled downstream in an approximately helical path.

  • Patent number: 4250897
Abstract: The threshing, separating, and cleaning elements of the harvester are contained in a housing which has openings only in its front and rear walls. A threshing and separating rotor surrounded by a generally cylindrical, partially foraminous casing, extends fore-and-aft through an upper portion of the separator housing and penetrates the forward wall of the housing to permit feeding of crop material to the rotor. During separation straw is carried in a generally spiral path, rearwardly in the annular space between rotor and casing and fed into a transverse rotary straw discharge beater, which finally discharges straw through a rearward opening in the separator housing. An arcuate floor under the discharge beater is connected to the rearward end of the separator casing so that a continuous channel or conduit for the passage of straw extends through the separator housing. Beneath the straw discharge beater floor, an opening in the rear wall of the separator housing, serves as a second outlet from the housing.

  • Patent number: 4193362
Abstract: A device for a sewing machine for making functional and ornamental stitches permits locking the needle bar according to signals that are given from a pulse transmitter, which monitors the rotational position of the top shaft, to a control system which actuates the drive motor of the sewing machine in coincidence with a foot starter. The sewing machine possesses a manually adjustable stitch selector and a device controlled by the needle bar drive for monitoring the relative position of the end of an ornamental stitch pattern. With both the stitch selector and the monitor device are operatively connected respective reversing switches adapted to be brought each into one of two change-over positions.
