  • Publication number: 20070023160
Abstract: A casting robot (1) which includes a pivoting device for a foundry ladle (3) that is suspended by the casting robot is provided. At least one weighing cell (23) is located in the area connecting the foundry ladle (3) to the casting robot (1). The cell is used to dynamically measure an instantaneous amount of molten material present in the foundry ladle (3) or the amount of molten material poured into a casting mold (7).

  • Publication number: 20060191660
Abstract: A casting machine (1) having a device for controlling a movement of the foundry ladle (9), and a control cam (33) having a roller path (29) on which the foundry ladle (9) is movably carried is provided. The casting machine further includes a lifting device for lifting the foundry ladle (9) prior to tilting and lowering of the foundry ladle (9) once it has been emptied for filling it with molten material. The foundry ladle (9) is mounted so as to swing about a vertical axis (A) from the casting position to an exchange position.

  • Patent number: 6619371
Abstract: During a casting operation a teeming ladle is moved relatively horizontally in the X direction and vertically in the Z direction and pivoted about rotational axis A. Thus it becomes possible during automatic casting always to maintain the theoretical fulcrum of the spout about which the teeming ladle is pivoted while maintaining a safety margin between the teeming ladle and the mold at the lowest possible position.
