    Abstract: An adjustable stage mount includes a housing having a base defining a hole and an adjustable stage including a ball joint extension that rotatably engages the hole and is rotatably securable about the x-, y-, and z-axes. An adjustable indenter mount includes a housing defining a hole and an adjustable indenter including a ball joint extension that rotatably engages the hole and is rotatably securable about the x-, y-, and z-axes. A collision protection switch includes a first plate having three pairs of electrically conductive spaced apart pins wired to a voltage source in an open circuit, and a second plate having three electrically conductive balls. A spring pulls the first and second plates together causing the three balls to complete the circuit. A sufficient force against the second plate causes a ball to disengage and open the circuit. A two-objective microscope includes two parallel objectives, upper and lower light sources, three half-mirrors, and a camera.

    Abstract: A method for the manufacture of fine structures for semiconductors were in a photographic structuring is carried out on both sides of a smooth, non-stressed metal tape. The tape is etched from both sides. A single sided metal deposition than takes place by means of a float type electroplating. Stabilization of the fine structure is achieved by depositing a lacquer or resin by an electrophoretic deposition or by electro-immersion lacquering. The insulator carrier is applied as one of the final steps of the process.

    Abstract: A swinging device for controlling opening and closing of a shut-off valve or the like includes an oscillating crank which is pivoted with its one end to a nut reciprocating on a spindle driven by an electromotor via a gear transmission. The oscillating crank swings between two end positions and is provided with an elongated slot in which a prolongation of a coupling member projects in shiftable but non-rotational manner. In both end positions of the crank which correspond to the respective opening position and closing position of the shut-off valve, a maximum torque is exerted on the switch shaft because the distance of the point of articulation of the crank to the nut from the rotational axis of the switch shaft is at a maximum.

    Abstract: A drive mechanism for a spindle of a valve includes an electromotor with subsequently connected gear transmission which are arranged laterally offset to the axis as defined by the spindle to allow the latter to move in axial direction unimpeded from electromotor and gear transmission and to be adjustable to arbitrary strokes. The spindle is actuated by a nut which cooperates with the gear transmission and is locked in its quiescent stage to prevent a rotation thereof. The gear transmission is also manually actuatable via a crank handle whose grip portion in addition serves also a viewing glass when attaching the crank handle in elongation of the spindle at an appropriate location of the housing.

    Abstract: A pressure measuring apparatus especially of aggressive fluids includes a manometer whose casing accommodates a diaphragm separating a first chamber within the casing from a second chamber within the casing. The first chamber contains a neutral fluid which transfers the pressure of the aggressive fluid provided in the second chamber and exerting a pressure onto the diaphragm to a mechanical indicator of the manometer for indicating the measured pressure.
