Abstract: Azo dyestuffs which contain an acid substituent which confers solubility in water of the formula ##STR1## wherein D is the radical of a sulfo substituted benzene or naphthalene diazo component;R' is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms;Z is a fiber reactive group; andN is an integer of 1 to 4 are disclosed and are useful in dyeing nitrogen containing fibers such as polyamides, polyurethanes, silk, leather and wool as well as cellulose materials, in particular cotton.

Abstract: Fiber-reactive tetrazo dyes of the formula ##SPC1##Wherein each of D.sub.1 and D.sub.2 represents a benzene residue which contains at least one sulphonic acid group, one of the two substituents Y.sub.1 and Y.sub.2 represents the HO group and the other represents the H.sub.2 N group, X represents a halogen atom and B represents a benzene residue which is devoid of sulphonic acid groups, are suitable dyes for dyeing and printing materials of the most diverse kind, especially for dyeing of cellulosic materials of fibrous structure by the exhaustion process. The dyes are characterized by increased reactivity and high degree of fixation.
