    Abstract: A displacement machine of spiral-type construction for a compressible medium includes a displacement body having a carrier disc and helical blades extending out from both sides of the carrier disc. The carrier disc has a hub which is supported by a hub bearing on an eccentric disc which is part of a driven drive shaft. The drive shaft is supported inside a housing by a first bearing and a second bearing. These bearings are arranged in receptacles which fully project into the feed chambers of the housing so that the bearings are positioned in close proximity to the eccentric disc.

The strips (3) are held eccentrically with respect to the housing, in such a way that, during operation, each point of the strip performs a movement which is limited by the peripheral walls of the feed chamber. The contour (20) of the disc is formed, in the overlapped region of the spiral at the point provided for the mutual sealing of the traversed chambers (11, 16), in the shape of the movement path. The housing edge (19) is formed, as a transition between the raised first part (17) and lowered second part (18) of the outer cylinder wall (14) of the housing, as a bulbous thickened portion. The radial extent “D” of the thickened portion is at least as great as the degree of eccentricity (“e”).

Spiral displacement bodies (2-4) engage in these feed chambers. Said displacement bodies essentially consist of a disk (2) and spiral strips (3a, 3b) which are attached to each side of the disk. The strips are held in an eccentric manner in relation to the housing, so that during operation each point on the displacement body executes a circular or elliptical movement, depending on the configuration of the guiding device (49), said movement being limited by the cylinder walls of the feed chamber. One feed chamber (11a) is configured for compressing the working substance and the other feed chamber (11b) for expanding said working substance. The feed chambers and the strips (3a, 3b) which engage in said chambers consist of successive circular arc segments.

The beginning (32) of the outer sealing faces (30, 30') is offset with respect to the beginning (33) of the inner scaling faces (31, 31'), as viewed in the circumferential direction. This is correspondingly true of the end (34, 35) of the sealing faces. The bars (3, 3') engage in spiral delivery spaces in the housing and, when the machine is operating, the sealing faces (30, 30', 31, 31'), together with the cylindrical walls of the delivery spaces, form working chambers in a uniform rotational angle interval of the drive.

    Abstract: A positive-displacement machine for compressible media has a positive displacement body that is retained on a disk-like rotor, which is eccentrically drivable relative to the housing, in such a manner that each of its points executes a circular motion during operation. To that end, an eccentric disk is disposed on a drive shaft, and the rotor is supported on this disk by means of an oil-lubricated bearing. The lubricating oil is delivered and removed to and from the side remote from the drive side of the drive shaft, and the separation of the oil inflow from the oil return flow is effected in the housing by a slide bearing which has one oil chamber each on both ends. The separation of the oil streams is effected by an indentation that does not extend over the entire length of the slide bearing. Through this indentation, the slide bearing is likewise supplied with oil. The indentation connects the oil inflow bore in the housing with the oil chamber.

    Abstract: A displacement machine for compressible mediums has several spiral-shaped conveying spaces (11a, 11b), which are disposed in a stationary housing lead from an inlet (12a, 12b), which lies radially on the outside, to an outlet (13), which lies radially on the inside. A displacement body, which is assigned to the conveying spaces has a disk (2) with spiral-shaped strips (3a, 3b) arranged perpendicularly on both sides. This displacement body, driven off-centered, is made of a magnesium alloy. During service, each of its points effects a circular movement defined by the circumferential walls of the conveying space. The ribs (45, 46) bordering the conveying spaces (11a, 11b) in the housing are made as one piece with the housing and the entire housing is made of the same or similar magnesium-based alloy as the displacement body (2, 3, 4, 5).
