  • Patent number: 4061701
Abstract: Composite soft and resilient foams are manufactured by injecting a foamable mixture of polyisocyanates, polyols, water or inert blowing agents and, if appropriate, auxiliaries, under pressure into a mold of which about 90 to 30% of the volume is filled with foamed, soft and resilient particles of olefin polymers of particle size from about 3 to 50 mm and bulk density from 5 to 100 g/l -- these particles being in loose form or fused or stuck together -- and allowing the reaction mixture to foam up.

  • Patent number: 3950471
Abstract: Manufacture of molded articles of foamed ethylene copolymers containing, attached to the polymer chain, substituents having Zerewitinoff-active hydrogen atoms, and a binder mix containing isocyanate groups, wherein the components are mixed and the mixture is compressed in molds to from 80 to 20% of its original bulk volume and is cured under pressure.
