The drill head can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the drill pipe between a top position, in which the guide point projects beyond the at least one cutting element, and a bottom position in which the at least one cutting element is positioned at the same height as the end of the guide point or projects beyond same in the operating direction. When the drill head is in the top position, the drill pipe is moved in the direction of the drill hole to be produced until the guide point by cooperating with the floor fixes it in position.
