  • Patent number: 8360063
Abstract: An airway tube holder (10) has a face plate assembly to fix an airway tube (24). The assembly comprises a face plate (20) for placement over the mouth of a patient. The face plate (20) has a channel (22) including an open end (23) and a closed end (26) in which the tube (24) is fixedly positioned. A tube holding block (30) is integrally mounted to the face plate (20). The block (30) has a securing means (38, 40, 41) mounted in the tube holding block (30). A clamp (41) is secured to a screw (40) of the securing means by a loop (44) encircling the screw (40). A folded strip (106) is attached to the end of a headband (18) so secure the holder to a patient, and forms hooked portions facing in opposite directions. The block (30) is flexible enough to absorb an over-tightening of the screw (40).

  • Patent number: 7802991
Abstract: A device for practicing mask ventilation, comprising a first passage and a second passage. The first passage is designed to provide communication between a source of air and the interior of a patient mask. The patient mask is designed for placement over a person's mouth and/or nose. The second passage is designed to provide communication between the air source and a back pressure means. The back pressure means is adapted to simulate the resistance of a human airway. The device can also comprise a third passage designed to provide communication between a breathing person and the surroundings. The passages may be formed in one integrated adapter to be placed between a patient valve and the mask.

  • Patent number: 6968844
Abstract: A cover, for a flexible patient breathing mask, which is made predominantly of a soft material and has an open bottom and an internal shape corresponding to the external shape of a patient mask. The cover has a socket piece opening opposite the open bottom. The socket piece opening corresponds to the socket piece on a patient mask. Openings are formed in the side faces of the cover, which allow visual access to the patient mask. The chin and cheek sections of the cover are deformable so that the mask is capable of distorting the cheek and chin sections of the breathing mask so that the mask is tightly fitted against the anatomy of the face of the patient to alter the shape of the cover through the application of force. The side edges of the cover may include at least one fastening device for straps for holding the cover and the mask tight against a patient's face, where the fastening device(s) may be hook-shaped.
