  • Publication number: 20080122784
Abstract: A communicating system suitable for a repeater and communicating method thereof are described. The communicating system comprises a receiving unit, a delay module, a transmitting unit and a control unit. The receiving unit transmits a first signal based on a KB/MS input signal. The delay module is coupled to the receiving unit and delays the first signal from the receiving unit in order to generate a second signal. The second signal has a first phase difference in comparison with the first signal. The transmitting unit is coupled to the delay module and the control unit. The transmitting unit transmits a KB/MS output signal based on the second signal while the control unit controls the transmitting unit via a control signal.

  • Publication number: 20080111643
Abstract: The compensation circuit comprises an oscillator, a first variable delay line, a second variable delay line, a phase detector and a controller. The oscillator generates an oscillation signal to input into a first transmission line and a second transmission line. The first variable delay line receives the oscillation signal transmitted through the first transmission line. The second variable delay line receives the oscillation signal transmitted through the second transmission line. The phase detector compares the phases of the two oscillation signals from the variable delay lines to generate a phase difference signal. The controller adjusts the variable delay lines to compensate for asynchronous signal transmission of the transmission lines according to the phase difference signal.

  • Publication number: 20060205442
Abstract: A bi-directional RF signal amplifier can be provided with a non-interruptible communication path for maintaining communication between an input and output port in the event of power failure. The amplifier may receive RF signals from a service provider or any other appropriate signal source through an input port. In residential applications, the amplifier may receive a composite RF signal comprising information for telephone, cable television (CATV), Internet, VoIP, and/or data communication from a service provider. The amplifier may increase the signal to a more useful level of approximately 20 dBmV/carrier and pass the amplified signal to one or more devices in communication with the amplifier through various output ports. In the event of power failure, a signal may still be passed through the non-interruptible communication path between the service provider and the communication device.

  • Patent number: 6194942
Abstract: A predistortion circuit includes a first splitter for splitting an input signal into primary and secondary electrical paths, a first combiner for combining a main signal on the primary electrical path and a predistorted signal on the second electrical path into a single signal for modulating a nonlinear device with predictable distortion characteristics, a distortion signal generator for receiving a branch signal from the first splitter and for producing first and second intermodulation products, a second splitter for receiving the first intermodulation products and for outputting two sets of the first intermodulation products, a third splitter for receiving the second intermodulation products and for outputting two sets of the second intermodulation products, an even-order signal processing unit for processing one set of the first intermodulation products and one set of the second intermodulation products to generate even-order intermodulation products, an odd-order signal processing unit for processing the
