  • Patent number: 10085942
Abstract: The present invention provides nanoparticles and a method of preparing the nanoparticles by using an ice template. Pharmaceutical formulations including such nanoparticles and their use are also described. The method allows for an environmentally friendly provision of advantageously small particles with higher production rate and improved reproducibility.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 19, 2015
Date of Patent: October 2, 2018
Assignee: City University of Hong Kong
Inventors: Chun-Sing Lee, Xiaohong Zhang, Jinfeng Zhang, Fu-Lung Wong
  • Patent number: 9873105
Abstract: A method for enhancing sorption performance of a sorbent material includes the step of increasing a surface area of the sorbent material for adsorption of a fluid at an interface between the fluid and the sorbent material by arranging one or more apertures to be disposed on the sorbent material, wherein each of the one or more apertures is further arranged to define an interior space for absorption of the fluid.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 24, 2014
Date of Patent: January 23, 2018
Assignee: CITY UNIVERSITY OF HONG KONG
Inventors: Chun Sing Lee, Yong Bin Tang, Fu Lung Wong, Chiu Yee Chan

  • Patent number: 6917158
Abstract: An organic light-emitting diode is described in which the anode comprises midfrequency magnetron sputtered aluminum-doped zinc oxide to increase the device stability and to decrease the material cost. Due the novel deposition technique, ZnO:Al film with ITO-like electrical conductivity can be deposited and improved device performance, especially the long-term stability can be obtained which are attributed to the modification of the ZnO:Al conductivity and surface chemistry.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 8, 2002
Date of Patent: July 12, 2005
Assignee: City University of Hong Kong
Inventors: Shuit-Tong Lee, Xin Jiang, Chun-Sing Lee, Fu-Lung Wong
