The at least one processor may be configured to receive operations data from the data bus for the machine, extract parameter information from the operations data, and generate the GUI. The GUI may depict a plurality of parameter elements, wherein the plurality of parameter elements are arranged and scaled according to the extracted parameter information, arrangement rules, and display screen resolution.

The control system includes a GPS unit for determining the orientation of the marine vessel, a sonar unit for determining the bearing of a fish, and an algorithm for minimizing the error between the two. The control system will execute steering commands in the propulsion system in order to minimize the error in order to aid the angler as he tries to land the hooked fish.

The control system may also control the thrusters if the propulsion unit control levers have moved past a predetermined threshold. The predetermined threshold can be set by the operator of the marine vessel.
