  • Publication number: 20120054505
Abstract: A control apparatus includes a power supply unit, a power on unit, a control chip, a baseboard management controller (BMC) chip, and a south bridge. The power on unit sends a first power on signal to the control chip. The control chip receives the first power on signal and sends a triggering signal to the BMC chip. The south bridge is connected to the control chip and the BMC chip. The south bridge is driven to control the power supply unit to power on the computer by the control chip or the BMC chip according to states of the BMC chip after a predetermined time. If the BMC chip is in a start mode, the control chip drives the south bridge; if the BMC chip is in a working mode, the BMC chip receives the triggering signal and drives the south bridge.

  • Patent number: 8109667
Abstract: A backlight module and a method for manufacturing a base thereof are provided. The backlight module base includes a back plate and a frame. The back plate has a plate body and at least one sidewall, which includes a wall body and a folding structure bending from the top of the wall body. The folding structure, the plate body, and the wall body together enclose a groove. The frame is formed on the plate body and adjacent to an inner surface of the sidewall. A part of the frame is embedded into the groove. The engagement between the frame and the groove increases the contact area between the frame and the back plate to improve the connection strength. In addition, the folding design of the sidewall increases the rigidity of the whole structure.

  • Patent number: 8018280
Abstract: A class-D audio amplifier is protected by thermal regulation which decreases the gain of the class-D audio amplifier by asserting an over-temperature signal when the temperature of the class-D audio amplifier is detected to be higher than a threshold. The output of the class-D audio amplifier is therefore reduced by the smaller gain, and the chance for the class-D audio amplifier to stop working due to overheating is greatly reduced.

Abstract: A projector is provided, which includes a red substrate, a green substrate, a blue substrate, an X-cube, an electronic control element, a light guide element, a light valve element, and a projection lens. The red substrate, the green substrate, and the blue substrate respectively illuminate three surfaces of the X-cube, and the light is mixed in the X-cube and then exits from a light emitting surface. The electronic control element controls the red substrate, the green substrate, and the blue substrate. The light guide element is used for reflecting the light from the light emitting surface of the X-cube. The light valve element is used for reflecting the light from the light guide element back to the light guide element, and the light passes through the light guide element and then projected by the projection lens onto a projection plane area.

  • Patent number: 7978032
Abstract: A locking mechanism for protecting a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) from being faultily reset. In one embodiment, the locking mechanism has a blocking member secured onto a lateral side of the movable assembly, a resilient member, and a locking member having a first end portion positioned against the resilient member, a second end portion positioned in relation to the blocking member, and a body portion defined between the first end portion and the second end portion. When the movable assembly is in a first (tripping) position, the expanding force of the resilient member applied to the first end portion of the locking member causes the second end portion of the locking member to be positioned against the blocking member so that no movement of the movable assembly from the first position to a second (resetting) position is allowed.

  • Publication number: 20110154942
Abstract: Disclosed is a safety device on a steering handle, capable of controlling a direction-control wheel of a wheeled vehicle. The handlebar is engaged with the head part by its mortise with a tenon of the head part. When an outer bar end of the handlebar is hit, an inner tube of the handlebar will be pushed to disengage the mortise and the tenon to rotate the handlebar along. Alternatively, paired washers with wedge-shaped teeth can be utilized to engage the handlebar with the head part. When the outer bar end is hit, the washers are disengaged to allow the handlebar to rotate. Moreover, a hydraulic system or an inserting rod with a chassis groove system can be employed to maintain the original direction of the direction-control wheel when the handlebar is hit. Therefore, a sudden turn of the direction-control wheel and an fall-over of the rider and the vehicle can be prevented.
