Abstract: A method of preparing a very slightly soluble drug with solid composition includes the following steps: (a) adding a very slightly soluble drug into an organic solvent and polysorbate to form a first solution; (b) adding the first solution into a second solution and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, wherein the second solution comprises water or SLS, and a volume ratio of the first solution and the second solution is between 8:1 and 1:1; and (c) drying and compressing the mixture in step (b) to form a very slightly soluble drug with solid composition.

Abstract: A sustained release alfuzosin hydrochloride formulation contains alfuzosin hydrochloride as about 1% to about 5% by weight of the formulation, hydrophilic polymers as about 35% to about 75% by weight of the formulation, hydrophobic polymers as about 10% to about 30% by weight of the formulation, disintegrating agents as 10% to 30% by weight of the formulation and a binder as about 2% to about 12% by weight of the formulation. The hydrophilic and hydrophobic polymers are used as the release-modulating agent to control the dissolution profile of the alfuzosin hydrochloride formulation so that the formulation releases alfuzosin hydrochloride slowly and continuously as the formulation passed through the gastrointestinal tract. The present invention also relates to a method for preparing the above formulation.

Abstract: A composition of human interferon-alpha (IFN-?) subtypes produced from human lymphoblastoid cells is disclosed. These purified IFN-? composition comprise higher specific activities and may be applied in the treatment of cancers, viruses, and immuno diseases.
