  • Patent number: 11118808
Abstract: A method, system, and device for liquid drainage are provided. The system includes a drain tube coupled to the air distribution system, a sump coupled to the drain tube and configured to receive liquid from the drain tube, and a suction system in flow communication with the sump. The suction system is configured to create a pressure in the sump that is lower than a pressure in the air distribution system.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 6, 2013
Date of Patent: September 14, 2021
    Assignee: THE BOEING COMPANY
    Inventor: Fue Chue Vue
  • Publication number: 20190352012
Abstract: An air distribution system for use in an aircraft includes a main distribution duct configured to receive mixed air and a gasper distribution duct coupled in flow communication with the main distribution duct. The gasper distribution duct is configured to receive a portion of the mixed air from the main distribution duct. The system also includes a plurality of gasper outlets in flow communication with the gasper distribution duct. The plurality of gasper outlets includes a subset of gasper outlets located within a same region of the aircraft. The system also includes a heater in flow communication between the gasper distribution duct and the subset of gasper outlets. The heater is configured to heat the mixed air flowing from the gasper distribution duct to the subset of gasper outlets.

  • Patent number: 10322811
Abstract: A filter assembly including a plurality of filter modules, wherein each filter module in the plurality of filter modules includes a frame, a filtration element coupled within the frame, and at least one mating feature. The at least one mating feature of each filter module is configured for selective engagement with the at least one mating feature of another filter module such that the plurality of filter modules are coupled together in a serial arrangement.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 31, 2016
Date of Patent: June 18, 2019
    Assignee: The Boeing Company
Inventors: Thomas James Breigenzer, Fue Chue Vue
  • Patent number: 9988151
Abstract: A dehumidification system for use in a vehicle is provided. The system includes a thermally conductive member coupled to an outer skin of the vehicle, and a duct at least partially circumscribing the thermally conductive member such that an air flow passage is defined between the duct and the thermally conductive member. The thermally conductive member is configured to transmit a temperature of the outer skin to moisture-laden air channeled through the air flow passage.
