Abstract: A circulating type of automatic document feeding apparatus comprising a document hopper which is adapted to take out the top document from the hopper or take it out from the bottom to return in onto the topmost side, a first carrying means for carrying the document form the document hopper to a first exposure portion, a document presentation portion having the first exposure portion and the second exposure portion, a second carrying means which is equipped with an inside and outside inverting means for inverting the carrying direction of the document between the first exposure portion and the second exposure portion, and a third carrying means for returning the document to the document hopper from the second exposure portion.

Abstract: A photoreceptor of an electrophotographic copying machine is rotatably supported by a mounting member. The mounting member is rotatably supported by a supporting member which can slide out of the housing of the copying machine. The supporting member also supports a developing station. When the supporting member is pulled out of the housing, the developing station can be displaced on the supporting member away from the photoreceptor and the mounting member can be rotated so as to expose the photoreceptor such that its surface becomes accessible from outside.

Abstract: A cleaning device for an electrophotographic copying machine collects residual toner from the photoconductive surface of a copying machine by using a rotary brush and deposits the collected toner in a specific part such as a filter via vacuum means, wherein it typically includes an air duct formed between a specific part and the rotary brush and a vacuum-activating fan mounted in a proper position inside the air duct.

Abstract: A copying machine which produces one or more copied sheets by utilizing an electronic photographic method, wherein a coil shaped developing electrode is provided close to the traveling path of the photosensitive paper or the surface of the dram within the developing section of the device. Electric lines of force caused by an electrostatic latent image formed on the photosensitive paper or the dram are uniformly intensified as the paper or the dram pass near the developing electrode, whereby the edge development effects are suppressed and the contrast of the developing image is amplified in order to obtain a clean copy. A developer is replenished onto the photosensitive paper or the surface of the dram through clearances provided within the coil shaped developing electrode.
