    Abstract: A toe piece (10) of a binding for shoes includes a support base (11) provided with a pair of jaws (13) arranged on opposite sides of the support base (11) and provided with respective pins (15), which extend transversely inwards and are adapted to engage respective seats (21) of metal material arranged in the toe of a footwear item (SB). The support base is further provided with an actuating system (17) operable for actuating the jaws to close or open for respectively locking or releasing the toe of the footwear item (SB). At least one of the pins has at least one portion of magnetized material, configured so that, when the toe of the footwear item (SB) is brought close to the jaws (13) in an open position, at least one of the jaws is urged by magnetic attraction of the respective pin (15) towards the respective seat (21) on the footwear item (SB), without operation of the actuating system (17).
