  • Patent number: 6405097
Abstract: An operation data processing device that summarizes trouble situations that occur during sewing operations. A log data storing device generates and stores log data based on an operation state of pattern sewing machines. A trouble summarizing device summarizes trouble information that occurs during operations. The trouble information is then summarized in association with a stitch number based on the stored log data. A displaying device visualizes the trouble information in a manner that allows a user to easily determine a trouble location and frequency for a given sewing pattern.

  • Patent number: 5904109
Abstract: A color switch setting data processing apparatus for a multi-needle embroidery machine is provided by a personal computer or other data processing device. The apparatus causes a display unit to display a stitching sequence and needle bar numbers for color switch setting data. If an insert instruction is produced by indicating the place of insertion by using a cursor and a needle bar number to be inserted is inputted to the place, then the color switch setting data is rewritten by shifting the needle bar number data from the place of insertion and the subsequent places in the stitching sequence, by one place to a later side in the stitching sequence. If a deletion instruction is produced by indicating the place of deletion by using the cursor, the color switch setting data is rewritten by shifting the needle bar number data in the places subsequent, on the later side, to the place of deletion, by one place to an earlier side in the stitching sequence.

  • Patent number: 5379707
Abstract: A stitch data preparing device for an embroidery sewing machine, is capable of automatically determining an optimum embroidery pattern for making embroidery stitches in an embroidery area, according to data of outline defining points, types of line elements of an outline defining the embroidery area input, and at least one main line or subline designated. The stitch data preparing device also automatically prepares stitch data by a stitch data creation control routine corresponding to this optimum embroidery pattern. Accordingly, the number of divisions of the embroidery area is greatly reduced. The shape of the embroidery area is freely set. • Patent number: 5335182
Abstract: An embroidery data producing apparatus reads outline data of embroidery regions stored in a RAM, and detects a containing-contained relationship between the embroidery regions based on the outline data of the embroidery regions. The embroidery data producing apparatus then determines the shape of the contained-embroidery regions, and automatically determines, based on the determined shapes, whether portions of the embroidery-containing regions containing the contained-embroidery regions should be scooped out or embroidered by overlapping sewing. Accordingly, even when embroidery regions are in a containing-contained relationship, the embroidery data producing apparatus can determine, without depending on the operator, whether the portions of the embroidery-containing regions corresponding to the contained-embroidery regions should be removed from the embroidery-containing region.

  • Patent number: 5282142
Abstract: An embroidery data producing apparatus for an embroidery machine which forms embroidery stitches, based on the embroidery data having information about stitch positions comprises a CPU, RAM and ROM. The RAM has a pattern data memory for storing pattern data which represents outlines of a pattern where embroidery will be given, and a embroidery data memory for storing the made embroidery data. The CPU reads the pattern data stored in an external memory device and stores the pattern data in the pattern data memory. The CPU stores the inclination angle input through the keyboard by an operator in the RAM. The CPU sets a pair of facing outlines which extend to a predetermined embroidery executing direction based on the pattern data stored in the pattern data memory. The CPU sets stitch positions on the first outline of a pair of the outlines according to a predetermined thread density.
