  • Patent number: 4912565
Abstract: In an image recording system the size of recording pixels (7) is not necessarily an integer multiple of the size of original pixel (2). A plurality of original images are combined to produce a recorded image based on the combination of the original pixels. In the process, the spatial relationship between the respective pixel arrangements of an original pixel array and a recording pixel array is detected. Based on that spatial relationship, a plurality of original pixels which surround each recorded pixel are specified and the pixel image data for the specified original pixels are interpolated to obtain each datum in the recorded pixels. This interpolation process is carried out for all recording pixels except for those recording pixels in which there is detected to occur a combination boundary of the original images.

  • Patent number: 4682243
Abstract: In reproducing images in a desired magnification ratio by storing in a memory image data obtained from an original and reading out the data from the memory, moire patterns are reduced by a sampling frequency constant in accordance with a magnification ratio that yields good reproduction quality. Image data synchronized with the sampling frequency are averaged among a number of pixels corresponding to the desired magnification ratio, for storage.

  • Patent number: 4668996
Abstract: A sub scanning line counter and a main scanning position counter count absolute record-scanning position. A halftone pattern memory outputs binary image output signals for resulting halftone dots in response to comparison of halftone dot density of a halftone pattern partial position previously related with the aboslute record-scanning position determined by count values of the sub scanning line counter and the main scanning position counter with density of the image input signal at that time. A preset value calculating circuit calculates, in case of starting record-scanning from the middle of the recording screen, the count value of the sub scanning line counter corresponding to the scanning start point in advance to starting scanning, thereby to preset the calculated value in the sub scanning line counter.

  • Patent number: 4652936
Abstract: In reproducing images, plural reproduction images are registered by correction of their recording positions according to difference between an actual sub-scanning position of a scanning head and the corresponding theoretical sub-scanning position thereof obtained from a computation in the input and the output sides.
