  • Publication number: 20060126963
Abstract: A photo movie is ordered by placing a memory card storing frame images into an order accepting device, and an operation screen appears on a touch panel display of the order accepting device. The operation screen includes a scenario selection screen and a frame assignment screen. The frame assignment screen displays the frame images read from the memory card and scene configuration information. The scene configuration information shows configuration of plural scenes of the photo movie, and each frame image is assigned to one of the scenes in the frame assignment screen. The order accepting device stores the assignment destination, as frame classification information, in the data file of each frame image. An image editing device creates the photo movie based on the frame classification information.

  • Publication number: 20060115185
Abstract: When a zoom effect or a panning effect is selected for an editing condition of a photo movie, a cutout area for cutting out a still image is set. When a face image of a person is detected in the cutout area designated by a user, the cutout area is automatically adjusted so as to have an optimal margin around the face image based on a position and size of the face image. When the face image is not detected in the cutout area, a position and size of the cutout area is adjusted manually.

  • Publication number: 20060114327
Abstract: A photo movie is created based on scene configuration information, which includes scene definition information to determine a type of special effects, the number of still images, and playback time for each scene. The playback time is summed up to figure total playback time of the photo movie. If an intended total playback time is specified by a user, the playback time and scene configuration are changed in each scene so that the total playback time of the photo movie corresponds with the intended total playback time. In another embodiment, a moving speed of a cropping frame for cutting out a portion of a still image is derived from a moving path of the cropping frame and a total playback time of a photo movie. The size of the cropping frame is changed if the calculated moving speed is out of an allowable speed range.

  • Publication number: 20060050166
Abstract: A digital still camera offers a frame classification mode where the captured frame images are classified into plural scene categories in a photo movie. A display section of the camera main body has an image display area for displaying through images and, beside it, a category display area for displaying the plural scene categories. When an athletic festival is selected as the scenario for the photo movie, the scene categories such as “opening ceremony”, “morning athletic events”, “lunch break”, “afternoon athletic events”, and “closing ceremony” are displayed. One of these scene categories is specified before capturing an image. The data of the captured frame image is stored in an image file together with frame classification information which represents the specified scene category.

  • Publication number: 20060039674
Abstract: An image editing apparatus creates photo movies from frame images read out from a memory card. A file for the frame images stores frame classification information in relationship to the image data. An editing condition setup section reads out a scenario form from a HDD. The scenario form determines plural scene categories. The editing condition setup section assigns the frame images to the scene categories based on the frame classification information to complete a scenario. A photo movie creating section follows the scenario to create a photo movie. The scenario determines a special effect, BGM, and the like for each scene category, and all the frame images belonging to the same scene category are edited and processed as a group.

  • Publication number: 20050267922
Abstract: Backup of image data sets is carried out with ease. For this purpose, the image data sets are stored in image storage means. The image storage means may comprise a plurality of recording media or an external apparatus. When the image data sets stored in the image storage means are displayed, a degree of security is calculated for the image data sets according to reliability of backup locations of the image data sets and the number of the backup locations, for example. The degree of security is displayed in a visually perceptible manner. For example, in the case where the degree is low for one of the image data sets, a red or yellow frame is added to the corresponding image according to the degree of security thereof.

  • Publication number: 20050265692
Abstract: Upon resumption of a slide show of image data sets with reference to a playlist, the slide show can be resumed from where the slide show has been suspended. For this purpose, the slide show is reproduced as serial reproduction of the image data sets with reference to the playlist. Upon suspension of the slide show, where the slide show has been suspended is set as a restart point in the playlist. The slide show is resumed from the restart point with reference to the restart point set in the playlist.

  • Publication number: 20010041018
Abstract: The image processing method reads photoelectrically an image on a film and then performs a blemish elimination processing. The method reads a defective image as information related to a defect on the film, reads photoelectrically the image to obtain an actual image, performs preprocessing for the blemish elimination processing on the defective image and performs the blemish elimination processing on a blemish of said actual image, based on the defective image subjected to the preprocessing. The method can effectively perform processing of eliminating a blemish on the actual image in a short period of time by using the defective image having information pertaining to a defect caused by a scratch, dust on the film in a frame to be read.

  • Patent number: 5844549
Abstract: An image displaying apparatus includes a first line buffer for storing image data of an image to be displayed, a SRAM which is provided downstream of the first line buffer and in which the image data stored in the first line buffer are written, a second line buffer provided downstream of the SRAM for storing the image data read from the SRAM, a CRT provided downstream of the second line buffer, and a control circuit for controlling the operation of the first line buffer, the SRAM and the second line buffer so that time contention between write-in operation of the image data into the SRAM and read-out operation of the image data from the SRAM can be prevented, the memory capacity of the SRAM being greater than those of the first line buffer and the second line buffer. According to the thus constituted image displaying apparatus, it is possible to display images based on great quantity of image data at low cost.

  • Patent number: 4967274
Abstract: In an image data conversion device having an image data memory for storing and outputting picture element data to provide reproduced images according to a DMA transmission system, address output means provides address data to specify memory addresses in the image data memory means in a predetermined order. Conversion means, in response, applies to a memory address to the image data memory means which may be different from the memory address specified by the address data, so that, for instance, the addresses of picture element data are directly changed in the DMA transmission.
