  • Patent number: 9706186
Abstract: An imaging apparatus including an image generating section that generates first parallax image data based on the output of the first pixel and second parallax image data based on the output of the second pixel. When the imaging element captures an image of an object point located in an unfocused region on the optical axis, a pixel value of a center pixel corresponding to the optical axis in the first parallax image data is greater than or equal to 50% of a pixel value of a peak pixel in the first parallax image data, and a pixel value of a center pixel corresponding to the optical axis in the second parallax image data is greater than or equal to 50% of a pixel value of a peak pixel in the second parallax image data.

  • Publication number: 20120245846
Abstract: Portable device, like a digital camera, is equipped with a GPS receiver, thereby detecting a current position. When a change does not occur in the detected current position for a given period of time or more, the position is considered to be a living sphere, like a user's home. When the user is situated in the living sphere, a receive cycle of the GPS receiver is increased so as to become larger than a normal receive cycle, thereby reducing power consumption.

  • Publication number: 20120246180
Abstract: In a digital camera, a GPS receiver acquires latitude-longitude data, and the data are stored in a storage block while being added to data pertaining to a photographed image. When the thus-acquired latitude-longitude data show a neighborhood of a previously-registered home, an image processing block converts the latitude-longitude data into null data and stores the image data into the storage block while adding text data “Home” to the null data. When the acquired latitude-longitude data do not show any neighborhood of the home, the data are saved in the storage block while accuracy of the data is maintained.

  • Publication number: 20120162467
Abstract: An image capture device quickly reduces noise even when the brightness of a subject has changed. The image capture device has an image capture element such as a CMOS, and an AE/AF control section. When the brightness of a subject decreases, the AE/AF control section increases gain of an amplifier, which is used to amplify an image signal, in the next frame. Simultaneously, the AE/AF control section decreases exposure time so as to compensate for the increase in the gain. The exposure time is later recovered stepwise to the original exposure time.

  • Publication number: 20100141263
Abstract: A gradation image capture is used to test one or more image sensors. The integration periods for the rows of pixels in the array, or for groups of rows of pixels, are varied during each single still frame image capture. The S rows of pixels are reset either simultaneously or successively to a predetermined level, and then begin accumulating charges. The rows of pixels, or groups of rows of pixels, are read out at different times to vary the integration periods of the pixels. Some or all of the signals are analyzed or measured to detect any design or manufacturing problems.
