    Abstract: A buffer circuit which can solve a problem of a conventional buffer circuit in that high speed data transfer is hindered because of parasitic capacitance of signal lines, which has an affect on the discharge time of inverters in a latch circuit of the buffer circuit, when the buffer circuit changes its state from a first term (non-transfer mode) to a second term (transfer mode). The buffer circuit solves this problem by pouring a current, which flows thereinto from a first signal line, into ground through a first PMOS transistor, a first NMOS transistor and a third NMOS transistor, and by pouring a current, which flows thereinto from a second signal line, into the ground through a second PMOS transistor, a second NMOS transistor and the third NMOS transistor.

When the voltage of the signal line becomes equal to the predetermined voltage, all the transistors become nonconductive, thereby cutting off an unwanted current flowing from a power supply into the signal line.

The latch circuit is mainly used as internal elements of a data processor, whereby when the signal is inputted, an voltage of the input signal to the flip-flop 50 of the latch circuit approaches to the threshold voltage of the logic gates constituting the flip-flop 50.

    Abstract: A DRAM control circuit, having a second counter 12 which counts the number of times of generation of a refresh request signal generated by a first timer circuit 100, a set value register 13 which holds the maximum number of reservations for refreshing a DRAM 52, and a second comparator 14 which compares the count value of the counter 12 and a value held by the set value register 13, which cancels high-speed page mode and refreshes the DRAM 52 in a predetermined procedure only at a time when the second comparator 14 detects coincidence between the count value of the second counter 12 and a value held by the set value register 13. This configuration enables it to limit refreshing during high-speed page mode, while achieving a DRAM control circuit capable of operating in high-speed page mode more efficiently.
