  • Patent number: 4279182
Abstract: A machine tool for machining a blank, such as round bar, comprising an electric motor which includes a motor housing having an axial bore through which the blank can extend, an annular stator arranged in said motor housing, and an annular rotor arranged in and coaxially to the annular stator, a chucking device for clamping the blank which extends through the axial bore and the annular rotor, and at least one cutting tool for machining the blank, one of the chucking device and the cutting tool being mechanically and immovably connected to the motor housing and the other being mechanically and rotatably connected to the annular rotor.

  • Patent number: 4206664
Abstract: A cutting device for pipes comprising an adjustable frame body defining a substantially equilateral polygon having a center opening through which a pipe to be cut extends, and a ring gear which is supported by the frame body and which carries at least one cutting tool radially projecting therefrom, such ring gear being capable of effecting a rotational movement for cutting the pipe.

  • Patent number: 4023211
Abstract: Apparatus comprising a die head, a carriage provided with the die head and a pair of support rods mounted on a frame in parallel thereto and supporting the carriage movably in opposing relation to the pipe to be threaded. An elongated cavity parallel to the frame is formed in the carriage at a position immediately below the front end of an arm for advancing and retracting chasers on the die head. The support rod on the frame is disposed in the cavity, and a profile member fitted in the elongated cavity is movably supported by the support rod. The front end of the arm on the die head is placed on the top profile surface of the profile member, so that the threading torque of the die head causes the arm to fixedly press the profile member against the suppot rod and, at the same time, the lead of the chasers advances the carriage, while permitting the arm to move on the top surface of the profile member. Thus the open end of the pipe is formed with a tapered threaded portion having a predetermined length.
