  • Patent number: 4583842
Abstract: A developing apparatus is provided with a casing in which a toner is received and a stirring roller for stirring the toner is disposed. The stirring roller has its shaft extended parallel to a developing roller and is rotatably supported to the casing at each end. The stirring roller includes a sleeve shaft and a plurality of elliptic stirring blades arranged at regular intervals along the axial direction of the sleeve shaft. Each stirring blade is inclined at 45 degrees to the axis of the stirring roller. Two pairs of adjacent stirring blades located individually on both end portions of the sleeve shaft are each provided with a cut portion. The respective cut portions of each end pair of blades are located diametrically opposite to each other.

  • Patent number: 4466379
Abstract: In a developing apparatus, a rotatable cylindrical sleeve faces to a photosensitive layer. A rotatable magnet roller is arranged inside the cylindrical sleeve and which is provided magnet poles facing the photosensitive layer. A movable scraper is pivotally supported and has a free end. The free end of the scraper allows passage of the developer which is conveyed on a surface of the cylindrical sleeve upon rotation of the magnet roller through a gap between the free end and the cylindrical sleeve when the free end is separated from the cylindrical sleeve by pivoting of the scraper. The free end scrapes off the developer when the free end contacts with the cylindrical sleeve.

  • Patent number: 4417544
Abstract: A developing device supplies red toner and black toner to a photosensitive layer. The developing device comprises a toner resupply mechanism which is attached to a receptacle to replenish selectively the shortage of the red or black toner in the receptacle corresponding to consumption thereof. The toner resupply mechanism includes a housing having a connecting port connecting the receptacle and first and second chambers to store therein the red and black toners, respectively. A roller for resupply is reversibly rotatably disposed in the connecting port.

  • Patent number: 4398817
Abstract: A copying apparatus comprises a photosensitive body and a developing device. The developing device includes a first storage chamber for storing a first red toner, a second storage chamber adjacent to the first storage chamber for storing a second black toner, and a developing roller having an outer peripheral surface consisting of a first portion facing the photosensitive body, a second portion located inside the first storage chamber, and a third portion located inside the second storage chamber, and rotatable clockwise and counterclockwise. The first red toner is supplied from the first storage chamber to the photosensitive body when the developing roller rotates clockwise, and the second black toner is supplied from the second storage chamber to the photosensitive body when the developing roller rotates counterclockwise.

  • Patent number: 4378153
Abstract: Disclosed is an electronic duplicator having a focusing light transmitting body, which includes optical fiber tubes for image formation and optical fiber tubes for detecting the image density. The image density detection optical fiber tubes effect the measurement of the dose of light reflected by the document before the image formation by the image formation optical fiber tubes with respect to the advancement of a document table. The information of the measured value is supplied to an exposure control section and a bias voltage control section for appropriate exposure and bias voltage control.

  • Patent number: 4326794
Abstract: An electrostatic copying apparatus comprising a photosensitive layer prepared from a photoconductive material, corona discharge unit which generates a corona discharge to form an electrified corona discharge region on the photosensitive layer, light-emitting unit which is disposed adjacent to the corona discharge unit and emits light beams over the electrified corona discharge region of the photosensitive layer, thereby producing a conductive light-irradiated region on the photosensitive layer, and adjustment device for controlling the dimensions of the light-irradiated region to control the overlapping portions of the light-irradiated region and corona discharge region, thereby selectively defining the substantially electrified portion of the corona discharge region.
