    Abstract: An electrical connector for a flat conductive member includes a housing having a bottom wall, a top wall, a first receiving groove, and a second receiving groove. The connector includes a first terminal disposed in the first receiving groove; a second terminal disposed in the second receiving groove; and a pressing member disposed to be movable between an open position and a closed position for pressing the first terminal and the second terminal. The first terminal includes a first fixing arm portion contacting with the bottom wall, a first movable arm portion contacting with the top wall, and a first connecting portion. The second terminal includes a second fixing arm portion contacting with the bottom wall, a second movable arm portion contacting with the top wall, and a second connecting portion.

The housing further includes a receptacle portion between the upper wall and the lower wall for receiving the flat conductive member. The upper wall includes a cut portion. The engaging protrusion is situated under the cut portion, so that an edge portion of the flat conductive member moves over the engaging protrusion and deforms into the cut portion when the flat conductive member is inserted into the receptacle portion.
